I speak Quenya, the cause is that Quenya is the language of the Calaquendi, which I am. Sindarin is the language of the Moriquendi.

Oh, yay! Thank you. (I would say it in Sindarin, except I can't find the word for thank.)

In the movie they used hannon le ("I thank you"), though I don't think hanna- is attested anywhere (think they deduced it from Quenya hanta- 'Sindarinizing' it.

Sorry for interrupting, but I need to know how to say 'hope' in Sindarin (or Quenia. It doesn't matter really)

What springs upward ... in a bald or barren place(?).

Malinornë naas?

Cute, using a Sindarin word in a Quenya sentence.

Im a Quenya fan trying to learn Sindarin, but failing miserably. ( I hate all these ****** mutations. ) oh well.
Didn't the Ardalambion Quenya course say something about Ea being a reference to location as well as in "it is (there)"?
Excuse if I'm incorrect, I've got no-one to practice with. (sigh)

Sorry, I only am familiar with the language of the Elves in Aman, not of those that stayed behind on the great journey westward.

I'm not good at it, but I might be able to help with some basic stuff..
The problem is remembering everything after reading the lessons.

I also can't quite get Sindarin down. I enjoy the mutations, but they are hard to remember, and the Mix Mutation is very frustrating. Why don't we start speaking in Sindarin as well?
Also, Falagar, do you have a wordlist or dictionary you use for Sindarin? I've never been able to locate any good ones.

As for the trivia, "Ambo Rudh" is Amon Rudh. "What sprouts on Amon Rudh?" I am ashamed that I forgot that verbs go at the end of the sentence in questions.
The plant was Aeglos.

Oh yes, about Ea:
According to Quettaparma Quenyanna:
Quote:
ëa ("eä") "is" (CO), in a more absolute sense ("exists", VT39:7) than the copula ná. Eä "it is" (VT39:6) or "let it be", used as a noun for "All Creation", the universe (WJ:402; Letters:284, footnote), but this term for the universe "was not held to include [souls?] and spirits" (VT39:20). One version of Tolkien's Quenya Lord's Prayer includes the words i ëa han ëa, taken to mean "who is beyond Eä" (VT43:14). The past tense of ëa is engë (VT43:38).
You were right, ea can be interpreted as "it is". I never knew it had a past tense.
