You really should give the current "asker" about two days to answer back. I know it might be hard to wait, but lots of people aren't "on" more often than that, and it seems a bit rude not to give them the pleasure of responding to the answers to their questions. Patience is a virtue! Lots of people don't visit on the weekends, only during the week when they are at work. I'd like to make the "rule" 48 hours. OK?

Arwen Undomiel

I posted a little explanation of game rules on my first post. I hope this is "bearable" for you "speedier players! On another forum where I play games, the waiting period is ten days! That is boring!

Sorry, Lizra. The first post was posted unintentionally. The one I really wanted to post was the second one. (when I don't ask the question - I decided not to) Now, I can't delete the first one, like Khamul said before.

After two days anyone can tell if it's correct? I'm not impatient, i'm just trying to clear things up.

What is a goblin-barker?

Hey, haven't we passed the prerequsite posts for starting the TT thread?

Lizra, should two non-asking confirms allow a new question?

Sure that's a good place to start. You might back your yes or no up with a little "fact" and then proceed with a new question.

I don't understand what you mean!
You mean if two people other than the "question asker" confirm that an answer's correct, it might be safe to proceed? Well I guess....Just use common sense folks! Don't rush us here, we all the time in the world! (I hope! )

I'll make a quick "guess" that a goblin-barker is a sword or dagger, or some kind of firework. I think we bought some of those last year for fourth-of-July!

There was no prerequisite for starting a TT trivia thread -- you can start one any time you want. My comments on that other page were just my thoughts on the matter, but if you want to, go for it. I suppose there are enough people that seem to want "hasty" replies that would warrent another trivia thread going on, so that they may not have to wait as long to play, since odds are that one or another will be "active." Go for it, Cirdan!

So....What did Sam threaten to do to keep Frodo from going to Mordor without him?

Sam Gamgee

No, well, I mean, I guess he might have said that ....I'm not sure! BUT.....that is not the answer I'm looking for. This was something he threatened to do to keep Frodo from going!

Well, I was really testing the waters. I'd Like a concensus since everyone else has been patient. It would expand the field of play, as you say. Thanks for the feedback.

Anyone else ready to start playing a TTT trivia thread?
