How do you know which fish will school, Naughty? Is it just remembering, or are there predictive factors?
It's usually the size of the fish in reference to the environment, but also, fish that school "traditionally" rather than simply shoaling into a loose group generally are very uncomplicated fish. Simple body plans made for darting around rather than sustained travel (usually, this is not always the case, look at tuna ) So there are some predictive factors, but mostly it's just observance. I mean, dragonets are small (psychedelics never get over 4 inches) but if you were to put tw together, especially males, you'd get quite a fight.

Round-about way of saying "sometimes" I think.

You know, I think the thing I missed most about being here in the States is (relatively) fresh sweet corn. I've been eating it just about every day, usually on the cob, sometimes cut off. It's been such a wonderful treat after not getting to eat pretty much any veggies for the whole time I was in the UK (too expensive after figuring in the exchange rate and my tiny little food budget).

Sorry for the randomness.

Nope, not yet. Unfortunately, a lot of it looks like it got flooded.

We'll have it late July, early August here.

Nope. But there's gonna be plenty of them this year.

Where the cornfields should be.

Yeah.

Crossing Iowa last summer was amazing, all the corn. Gonna be a tough year for everyone. I'm considering opening new space to plant some dent or popcorn, just because I know the crop is so screwed.

Yeah, and of course, it's going to make the prices of everything with corn in it skyrocket. And tons of stuff has corn in it.

Another reason to raise prices.

Oh, I just thought it was neat that Rinkë posted an actual picture on the forum.. not just a link to the picture. I tried it, and I didn't work.

Thanks for the welcome. I've only just recently emerged from the protection of the Quote Game. For the longest time (like two years) I only even checked that particular thread.

Corn is apparently an interesting topic.

So.. I'm getting this vibe that Nauti likes fish... and other underwater-living creatures..

Right?
