The reason that the character DOES answer the door is their tragic flaw.

Now, in the Scottish play, Lady M is not the lead. But her behavior makes the play go. If she was not ambitious and resolute, her lord would still be a minor character. The safe approach would have been to make her like Eve. Eve eats the apple, poor Adam gets sucked in. Hiss boo at Eve. But Shakespeare makes a more interesting and profound choice. Shakespeare gives her a place to really find out what her ambition has created. He gives all of us a look at the slice of Hell her choices make. "Yet, who would have thought the old man to have had so much blood in him?" A minute ago, it was all about being Queen. Now she's covered in blood that can never be washed away. It's chilling.
Ah so. Yes, I agree. Sorry, I really am having trouble understanding some things lately. Thanks for explaining!

Not those thin French thingies, but something between the Belgian and French fries.
See also the first pic on this site and the "cooking"chapter on the differences between French and Belgian fries.
With off course a saladmix!

Oh don't restrain yourself, dear Sis. If it gets too boring, I can always not read it, but if it involves history and interesting, but completely pointless little facts, I'm game.

Are you talking about the really thick fries that are basically potatoe wedges? Those are gooooooooood. But some thin fries are good too, as long as they're not too greasy, the have salt on them, and you don't have to smother them in ketchup to make them tast good. Not that that prevents me from using ketchup... I just like being able to eat them plain if I have to.

Sam Gamgee would appreciate this, so, go on.

I would like to try some Belgian fries! My favourite form of consuming potatoes is New York style french fries, smothered in malt vinegar and ketchup.

The fries we usually eat are between French and Belgian fries in size though. Sometimes with paprika or other yummy herb-coatings.

I am queen of Rummikub! I just beat my grandmother again 3 times in a row. I haven't lost a game of Rummikub in quite a while... Next time we'll play Scrabble. I will lose that one, I always do.
Ahhh, I love Sundays!

"OH, I should be doing homework,
oh what a curse on me!
When I am not on topic
on Entmoot I must be.

I should be back at school
Far across the city.
If I don't appear there
on Entmoot I must be.

Sometimes I never post.
Invisible I do roam.
It's the place I go to most.
And I often call it home.

I should be cleaning my room
or planting a small tree
but instead of all those chores
on Entmoot I shall be."

An extemporaneous song. Thank you.

I've only played Scrabble once or twice, and I was terrible at it. But then again, I was 9...

*grumble*

HATE. I've been working on my homework for an hour and a half and I'm still only half done. Add onto that the two various hours I did earlier today and I'm almost at four hours.

GAR! This sucks! I need a drink...

I'm bored because I am sleepy.

And I'm sleepy because I am bored.

It's like an emotional palindrome.

Well, the Teacup has an excellent place for napping: just drag that chair near the fire and you'll soon drift off to dreamier places. I do it quite often, especially when I have homework to do...
I have forestfruits blend tea. A bit out of season, but if anyone else wants a cup...?

It's also a dilemma: how will you ever get non-bored without getting non-sleepy first...and how will you get-nonsleepy if you don't get non-bored? You're stuck
