Here's mine:

Orli walks by.

Me (after realizing that, hey! that was Orlando Bloom!) *I turn around. * Hey! Hold up! STOOOOOOOOP!

Orli: DO I know you?

Me: Yeah, remember, grade school?

Orli: Sure, but I don't remember any Americans in my classes.

Me: Well, I didn't have an American accent then.

Orli: Oh.

Me: So do you remember me?

Orli: No, sorry, I don't believe I do.

Me: Oh, never mind then.

Orli: No, do tell me.

Me; No, really, it's okay.

Orli: well at least let me apologize for not recognizing you. Are you busy for dinner (that's lunch for americans).

Me: No, not at all.

Orli: Well, I am not so familiar with this area. Do you know of any good placed to eat?

Me: Sure, I know a great mexican place down the street.

Orli: Bloody awesome. Let's go.

After Lunch:

Orli: So you never told me your name...

Me: Anna Smythe.

Orli: You know, I think I do vaguely remember you. Well, I've had a great time. Perhaps we could go bungee jumping sometime?

Me: Sure. here, let me give you my number...

Years later at our house in Canterbury:

Me: Orlando, I have to tell you something.

Orli: Yes, darling, what is it?

Me: I never was in any of your grade school classes. You don't hate me, do you?

Orli: Of course not. After all, if you hadn't made that up, I wouldn't have realized how truly wonderful you are.

Me: oh, and by the way, Anna's not my real name...

Oh and Orlando? Remember how we always have the lights off at night? I'm not actually a woman either...

Gerbil....you are weird. My friend would DIE if she met Orlando which is kind of why I'm always wishing that "The Hobbits"and Orlando would get stuck in a snow drift and have to have lodging for the night at our house.

Don't get me wrong, I'd like to.
I think roleplaying running up skirts and trouser legs would be fun!
The others might tire of it quickly though

lol. you are just too much Gerbil.

Ah, but seriously what I really meant was a sort of semi-serious RP. We all kinda know eachother now and so it would be easier for us all to play together smoothly in a RP. As apposed to total and complete stangers trying to do one. We all seem to get along pretty well, dontcha think?

Sorry, FrodoFriend … depending on where you're located, you might or might not be familiar with the malapropisms of U.S. President George W. ("Dubya") Bush. "Strategery" and "subliminable" were among his gems — hence "A-dubya-ic" instead of Adunaic.
LOL, thanks Churl! I get it now. I was not familiar with those particular ones.

An RP! Cool! I've never done one. Are they fun? I'm sure all the rest of us combined could keep Gerbil's lustful dalliances under control.

I've never done one - other than D&D. So you'd have to explain - but it would be cool.

hrmmm..theres not that much to explain really. I've never played D&D so I have no way of compareing its form to basic RP form..but I'll do my best to explain.

A roleplay, in the basic sense, is group storytelling. Its very similar to what has been done in creating the 'WWYD?' story. the main difference being, you only write out stuff that YOUR charecter says and does to intereact with other chars. Whereas in the 'WWYD?' story you were writing for everyones chars.

In D&D I beleive there is dice involved, here there is not. I dont like playing with dice cause it ruins the mood and it gets complicated.

One liner rules:

1.) No god-moding- Roleplaying or killing off someone elses charecter without their permission is godmodeing and generally not a good thing. Dont do it.

2.) No charcter is totally invincible or all powerful-(pretty much explains itself)

3.) If you are fighting someone and they strike at you, weigh your charecters abilities against the others, and make good judgement, if you know your charecter cant posibly dodge the strike, take the hit.

To see examples of roleplay entries go to the roleplay section and look to see how other people are doing it. Its fairly easy to catch on to the Idea.

I cannot stress this enough, thouroghly flesh out your charcter. give descriptions give background, this makes the game more interesting for everyone.

Also, watch your speech patterns.

..umm...if theres anymore questions, feel free to ask.

Sounds like fun! The RP's in the RPG forum are all way too serious though. I could never keep that up for more than a sentence.

hrmmmm...LotR cast member rentals. lol.

FF-Yeah, thats why I want to do something a little more relaxed. Prolly going to be something involving the shire (well who the heck didnt see that comming?) but as to time and exact location and to where the story will go, I have no idea.
