One of the weird things I totally crave randomly is a piece of fatty steak with a slice of cheddar cheese on top, and lots of salt. O_o My mouth is watering just thinking of it.

I craved black forest cake today without even knowing what it was (which is different sort of craving). I was thinking about how people mispronounce French place names and Bois Blanc island came to mind. Everyone calls it Boblo. Which is close... But the name means "white wood" only I though it was black wood for a second and then daydreamed about how I wanted to speak German (I was in French class) and eat black forest cake. I think I was thinking of German chocolate cake maybe...

Oh, geez, did I come to the teacup at the wrong time! I've had a stomach bug all day and talking about FOOD makes my stomach turn! Good bye!

Heck no! I'm pissed about the snow melting. Now it's raining. In January. And there are winds strong enough to make the rain drops sting when they hit you. Give me the fricken snow back.

Mmmm... Being sick with what I have sucks. You all should be very glad it's a VIRTUAL cafe, not a real one, because a) I wouldn't be here if it were real and b) if I were, you'd all get a chance at catching it. I have no idea what I've got, but I'm at the point where I barely remember what it's like to feel well and can't ever imagine myself feeling good again.

It's a terrible place to be.

Since I wrecked my car, I would like to be able to ride bike again. That's the main reason. That and long, snowy walks to and from the bus stops suck.

Get well soon, Midge, for reals.

Some a-hole pulled out in front of me today on the way to work. I'm going along minding my own when I see this truck just step on it. I see him pull out there, thinking he's going to be in the other lane. Then I realize if I don't stop I'm gonna plow into him so I throw on my breaks. He seems to have the same thought so he throughs on his breaks and like the DA he is, just sits there for a minute and I'm thinking I hope someone slams into your stupid a** for sitting in the middle of the road in both lanes. He finally decides to go and I am surpressing the really strong urge to give him a one finger salute, which I normally only reserve for the empty cars whos owners steal my parking spot at the appartments I live in.

Well long story short, I have good breaks.

Is it safe to come in again? No more people parading around in flags?

You too? This morning winter struck hard again up here as well, after a short period of relatively mild temperatures. Caught a lot of us by surprise, as we had hung back our warmest clothes in the wardrobe.

Yeah, I woke up thinking I should draw the excess rainwater off the balcony, only to discover it has frozen solid. I guess I won't be able to start spring-cleaning the ponds just yet.

I was just thinking the other day that even the pile of snow under the tree had shrunk away, when it suddenly started snowing again last Saturday. Then frost on Sunday and yesterday and more snow to come. Bugger. I love snow, but it's getting excessive >_<

I'd like some corn on the cob now. But I have a cold, so I wouldn't taste much anyway. *sigh*
*sneezes* 'scuse me.

By the look of his post, our Noble Elf Lord is probably just making sure you haven't turned into a rather blue smiley with eyes like saucers. Such a syndrome could surely spread even via virtual cafés so its a good thing to rule that sort of thing out

Good one, Jonathan. Yes, it's spreading...

But Midge, I meant pregnant. Thought you'd get it. And I'm serious; you're already married, so it may well be possible you're carrying a lil miracle, cause I don't know much else about you.

Or if this doesn't make any sense, remember I'm actually very, very tired and quite unable to make certain something makes sense.

And in Oslo as well, of course.

Errrr ... Noble, I think she's going to get married in May this year ...
But that does explain your guess.

No, I'm not married. We're getting married in July... That's the second time I've typed that. We're ACTUALLY getting married in May. I'm pretty sure the symptoms of pregnancy don't just attack you all in one day like my illness has me. I was fine on Sunday. Plus there are other ways of telling when one is not pregnant, too. And I'm not. But the doctor had no openings today... What is this world coming to???

I'm glad you thought I was married. If I hadn't known that, I would probably have been slightly insulted. Purity is important to me.

And as far as I know, I'm not either!

Edit: So if you're talking to someone on Facebook Chat and trying to post on Entmoot at the same time, the response from FB stops you typing on Entmoot. Anyone else experienced this problem?

I was worried I had that. I've been really sick with flu since Saturday - but I'm feeling a little better today and back at work tomorrow, and since swine flu is meant to last weeks and I don't have an awesome immune system or anything, I'm guessing it was just a bad case of normal flu.

Still. It's awful being ill. I hope you're feeling better soon, Midge!

(and that none of us come down with a case of the , because that would be awful)

Also, Facebook chat does strange things sometimes, but I've never had it active while posting on Entmoot, so I don't know.

Oh, swine flu is no different than the seasonal flu symptom-wise. Both usually last a week or so, so you should be feeling a lot better in no time!
If you're going back to work tomorrow, be sure to bring some soothing paracetamol with you
