Oh, come on. Even presedents get shot at sometimes (although hopefully not killed).

Yes we do, it's a harsh reality...and I've been shot at before, and I'm proud of my wounds...but I'm not going to try and add more heroism to my list when it didn't happen. I was not shot by an elven arrow in the buttocks. Final. Stop trying to idolize me...

*As Hector turns away, General Sane shows Lt. General Jammi the arrow.* He's just embarassed. He was standing in his stirrups trying to give a rousing speech to the men when an elven archer shot him from the woods. We have half the army as witness...Hehehe

Not surprised! Oh come come Hector, it's not that bad. I know, it was a cheap shot and your back was turned, but look at it this way, even if you speech was a dud, you sure gave the troops a real moral boosting laugh. No shame in that.

bandito BB rides in from .. the ... (you remember right?) secret mission ... searching, far and wide for the best ale and wine for the merry band ... *ahem*

BB nods to General Sane, tosses an 'Irish cushion' in a gourd (you can forget 'car bombs' ) and with a blown kiss springs off at a canter into the woods -

Oh! There's this little black outside cat that used to come and visit and wait by the door so we would go outside and pet her. She's soo cute!
Of course, now she's basically made us her staff, so she wakes us up at 3 in the morning because she wants to be petted. and she meows if she doesn't get her way. Or if she wants tuna. Or if she just feels like it.

And also we've been babysitting our music teacher's baby. He's SOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE! Plus, since we just watch him while she does music lessons, we don't have to change smelly diapers.

So. How have you been?
*moot hug*
I've heard that guv'nor thing somewhere before. Where? Animal Farm?
So you are taking piano, but you are not taking piano? So, the piano in piano and singing is different from just piano? Odd.
Cute! That reminds me of this one cat where my grandpa live(s/ed). He belonged to the people we colloquially called "the Chinese people next door," though it remains to be determined if this was the same family of Chinese people that the phrase actually belonged to. They had about forty cats per person, or so it seemed, so there were all these feral black cats running about the neighborhood. Anyway, this black cat always waits out under the table out back, waiting for my grandpa to put out some chicken bones (he loves El Pollo Loco and Boston Market, both of which serve chicken bones). It's always there, no matter what. It used to be a big grey cat that came around, and I mean big, but I guess he was replaced by this smaller black one.

Animal Farm is an excellent book.

Schrodinger was a physicist. I'm not quite sure what he did except write some equation that smooths out quantum wavefunctions or something. However, to explain how quantum mechanics works, in that the only predictions that can be made are merely the probability of such outcomes, he used an analogy. A cat is placed in a perfectly sealed box so no measurements can be made as to its state of being other than any made prior to putting it into a box. Attatched to the box is a poison canister that is released by the decay of a certain atom that has a 50% chance of decaying within the hour. If it decays, it releases the poison, and if it doesn't, it does not release it. No matter the outcome, the state of the cat cannot be measured as dead or alive without observing the cat or the atom, which, being sealed, are unobservable. Therefore, the cat is both dead and alive as far as everyone is concerned. However, the flaw in this is that cats can probably accurately determine if they are dead or if they are alive, thereby destroying the wavefunction.

I think I said all of that wrong, but to be perfectly honest neither Brian Greene nor Stephen Hawking elaborated much on Schrodinger's Cat much in their books. I explained it real well recently, so if only I could find that explanation.

trolls' bane, I haven't looked Shrodinger up yet, I'll save that for later. Soon though. That is really fascinating what you said about him. The only thing about reading Animal Farm is I have all the depressing books this year. Lord of the Flies, A Seperate Peace, To Kill a Mockingbird, you name it, I have to read it. Oh well, I'll survive. Perhaps.

the last sane person- I'll move the horse discussion here, as you said.
I have all quarter horses, three ranch bred ones and four show horse type bred ones. How old is your Arab?
