A luxury vent: I hate having to get up in the dark. It makes me cranky...
Oh well, at least the sun'll be up by the time I have to get to my exam.

First they tell me to get in for work at 13.15. Then they call me at 13.00 that the time has changed to 14.30... couldn't they call 10 minutes earlier when I wasn't on my way yet?
*sigh*

Oh, that's really frustrating! And it's probably the only time you don't have a book or something with you to pass the time with, either

Totally wussy little vent, but how am I supposed to work when I'm taking 9 classes that equal 16 hours of credits. Did I mention that the total actual class time is going to be more like 21-22 hours of class periods?
So I'll be spending 21 hours in classes, plus all of the things that aren't scheduled, like having to practice voice, rehearse with my accompanist, make it to at least 15 concerts during the semester outside of scheduled class time, and practice piano for my piano class. Then there's that little thing called 'studying'. Oh, not to mention the rehearsal for Magic Flute and the other little opera we're putting on. Rehearsals that will be in the evening and are going to go well over the 1 hour of credit I'll be getting for them. Plus having to spend at least 10-15 hours of shop time which is what part of my grade will depend on. And preparing for the singing competition in April, which I am determined to at least make simi-finals in. So HOW am I supposed to make $5,000 in five months with a schedule like that? Actually I need to make more, because my parents are probably going to expect me to start paying for gasoline and my insurance. And being a male, under 25, my insurance is going to be completely, ridiculously high. This is completely stupid. I swear the next person who tells me that Music Majors don't have to work as hard as the rest of the Majors gets an ass kicking. Last edited by Tessar : 12-20-2007 at 03:33 PM. |

I broke the lid of the sugar jar. *sigh*
I was trying to put it on, just now when I made a pot of ice tea, and I was still sleepy... so it just slipped out of my hand, hit the floor, and broke into about four pieces. FIDDLESTICKS! >.< |

Well I was trying to make a ginger bread house with my sister, but I didn't get much sleep last night, so I fell asleep on the couch while the stuff was baking. I woke up and was craving some ice tea. o.O

I won't tell you how many times the lid of our sugar jar broke. And most of the time we didn't even have the excuse of sleepiness. Butterfingers. ![]()

I am upset for people questioning my intentions when I yell "Ho ho ho!" I have been saying this for decades now and I refuse to say "Ha ha ha!". It just does not feel like me...

Dump Vent: trying to schedule out School/Work/performing in 2 operas/attending 15 concerts and figure out when I'm going to have time to study makes my head hurt. Assuming I can get a job. No job this semester will equal no school for fall semester, so I guess I better find something. Plus I'm waiting to see if my parents are going to dump the cost of my insurance/gasoline/school books on me too... which, if they do, that'll mean no school for fall semester since I'd have to work about 45 hours to cover all of that.
Looks like no scholarships for me since I'm not a minority, don't fulfill any requirements for financial aid, and I'm only an average singer. I really, really don't want to take loans out since I've still got at least 4 years of school ahead of me. I guess I'll probably have to, though. I know it's not all THAT bad. At least I get to go to college, have had my first 60 hours paid for by my parents, they've been paying for my gasoline/insurance/car so far, and have a relatively loving and caring family. But still. At least I got a wedding invitation in the mail ![]() Last edited by Tessar : 12-26-2007 at 09:24 PM. |
