Er, I'm probably wrong but is it "the good tilled earth?"

I will give my answer tonight about 10PM EDT (New York Time) if the correct answer is not given.

My question:

My answer is the house in Crickhollow.

I wish to apologize to all by my use of quotes around "peace and quiet".

It has been a little while since I read this chapter. I could have sworn that "peace and quiet" were specifically mentioned regarding the house in Crickhollow.

From my version of LOTR, pg. 98 A Conspiracy Unmasked.

Quote:
It had been built a long while before by the Brandybucks, for use of guests, or members of the family that wished to escape from the crowded life of Brandy Hall for a time.
I still consider my answer valid, but I should not have used quotes around peace and quiet. Again I apologize for any inconvienience.

rohirrim TR, I want you to get the next question.

While R-TR is technically correct after verification, the Poster of the question gave the right to answer to C while Lotesse got the exact type of mirror . IF C has not responded to the messages sent and to these posts then I feel it is quite fair, after three days to let Lotesse post the next question. So, if no question or reply from C by Tuesday morning, forge ahead.

Lotesse, go ahead and post the next question, if you'll be so kind.

O.K., easy one...

Who has "seldom heard of a hobbit sleeping out of doors under a tree?"
