I've heard Ne Me Quitte Pas many times, but I just stumbled across this video of Brel singing it, and was astounded by how powerfully he embodies the song. Really, really great.

Did you guys know that you can legally adopt another adult? O_o I had no idea!

So like... if you find out that all along your parents have been lying to you and you are actually not their child but were taken in after your real family was thought to be killed when a band of orcs destroyed your town.... then you discovered your long lost brother who also somehow survived, but then later found out that he was NOT your long lost brother after many years of adventuring together through the mystical land that you live in and facing trials and dangers that have brought you closer together than even real brothers could be...... that you could actually adopt him as your real brother?

That's pretty awesome.

As a side note, I am constantly amazed that she can sing like that without her throat exploding from the sheer pressure. Vocal cords of pure iron, lemme tell ya. And yet I loves it. <.<

I was lucky enough to be able to attend a production of Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris a couple of years ago.

And God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen is one of my favourite Christmas carols. But that Annie Lennox video - wth indeed! And is that Treebeard 3 minutes into the video?
