Right now I'm reading through a book called "Eragon"... I like it so far, but there might be those who don't.

The Mystery (sp?) of the Cards by Jostein Gaarder
The Almond Picker from Simonetta Agnello Hornby
and LoTR...

(desperate attempt to finish books before university starts, on Thursday... )

both titles are rough translations, may not be exactly the same as published in English, ahem... the 2nd one's original title in Italian, La Mennulara, sounds far better...

I finished Austen's "The Watsons" (very short), and have moved onto "Sanditon."

I bought Blue Mars by Kim Stanley Robinson a couple of months ago but didn't want to read it until I had time to refresh my memory of the 2 prior books in this series. So.........I'm reading Red Mars now and will start on Green Mars as soon as I finish it. Can't wait to get to Blue Mars.

Wow! Really? The guy who wrote The Traveller's Guide to Mars recommended that trilogy for reading. I'm going to Barns & Noble soon to get Red Mars. It's about terraforming Mars, right?

Yes, that's what it's about. I haven't gotten very far on this re-read; real life keeps intruding into my reading time.

Hmm. sounds like the way I'm reading now. I finally got through one page I've been on for three weeks, and actually advanced an entire chapter. All thanks to someone else's doctor appointment.

The Once and Future King is such a great book! One of the best I've ever come across dealing with the Arthurian theme. I LOVED that book.

The original final chapters of Jane Austen's "Persuasion." (She wrote this ending: http://www.pemberley.com/janeinfo/pcanchap.html and then replaced it with the one we know today...that letter ).

Finished up Red Mars last night and started Green Mars. Hope I get more reading time on this one. Can't read Blue Mars until my memory is refreshed on the two earlier books.

As soon as I finish the Martian Chronicles, then I'll start Red MArs (which, btw, I bought the other day.)
