Funny bugs should come up, because I'm afraid of the grasshopper that now lives in my room.
He somehow jumped on my shoulder without me noticing, and eventually jumped onto my bulletin board. I just saw him under my desk. He freaks me out, and I refuse to squash him because then there'd be a huge gross mess. I named him Giovanni and I just hope he doesn't...I dunno. Do whatever grasshoppers do. Dang jumpy bugs.

grasshoppers and crickets
Funny those 'little buggers' should come up because we have an infestation in our garage. they are camel back crickets or grasshoppers (can't quite remember) but they look and move like ...sp---sp---spiders *flinch* but have a huge hump on there back.

Speaking of infesting insects I had a praymantis(sp) problem once when one laid an egg patch on my screen door and the next spring they hatched. What a sight. We have a pic of it to.
Potheticly walking sticks scare me.

I'm not afraid of grashoppers, I've got a picture from when I was 7 or so with a grashopper the size of my hand on my arm. The praying mantis used to be my favorite bug. I saved tonnes of them out of the swimming pool when I was little.
I don't mind bugs in my room as long as I don't see them, but if I do... well, then they have to go. I don't squash them, it makes such a jucky mess. The sight of that alone makes me sick. So I catch them in little glass jars so my dad can feed them to his lizards.

Nothing compared to the time I spilled HCl on my hands - they were peeling for a week! (Can you tell we had a history major for a chemistry teacher? I've got stories. )

Brr... nasty icky spiders. There are these little brown poisonous looking ones that live is every window in my house, I'm sure. And the other night a huge (like three inches long) cockroach comes flying past my head while I'm on the computer. Brr....

I am so glad I have decent chem professors. Even if I don't like them at least I know my chances of spilling HCl on my bare hands or accidentaly consuming Sodium Hydroxide are much less...
