yep, kittens from outer space....Cute in a creepy way.

I dont think I have ever done so much construction work in one day.... Though my cousin did come in and help me out of the blue, brought beer and everything. I am now outside and digging into our mountian/backyard. Fashioning stone steps (wood wont last and isnt sturdy enough for where we got it), and by my calculations, I have moved, lifted, cut, fitted, mortared and jointed approximatly 13 tons of stone today. And that was just the stone work! I also dug and laid drainage lines for pipes and am finishing those off tommorow.

But I am sooo HAPPY! OH MY GODS! MY HOME IS COMMING TOGETHER! WOOOOOOOOOOOT! Sore though I am, its a good feeling. I am so close to completing my castle! YES! That and I heard from my brother! I haven't heard from him in 5 years! Just an overall good day!

They look like they come from fresh from a nightmare. I would feel safer with them all hanged.

Thanks for the advice, I kind of like it better than the Sabal.
The man at the garden center also said that the Pindo bears some kind of edible fruit and that older people called it a "Jelly Palm" because of that.

*does a little jig* I got my dress done, thank you God!!! I'm attending a costume party this weekend and called it very closely trying to get my dress (Regency period) done. Well, I've just about finished it today, and am very happy. So there.

Other happiness:
And when I think That God His Son not sparing
Sent Him to die I scarce can take it in.
That on that cross My burden gladly bearing
He bled and died To take away my sin.

Then sings my soul, my Saviour, God, to Thee!
How great Thou art!
How great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, my saviour, God, to Thee
How great Thou art!
How great Thou art!

When Christ shall come With shout of acclamation,
And take me home What joy shall fill my heart.
Then I shall bow In humble adoration
And there proclaim My God how great Thou art!

Another year's gone by, and I was thinking once again,
How can I take this losing hand and somehow win?

Just give me One Good Year To get my feet back on the ground.
I've been chasing grace; Grace ain't so easily found
One bad hand can devil a man, chase him and carry him down.
I've got to get out of here, just give me One Good Year!

Wow. I think that's impressive Nerdanel. I could maybe, if I really put my greatest effort into it, have been a vegetarian, but I won't. There's to much delicious meat out there But I think it's great people are vegetarians. Have a nice day Nerdanel!

Here's pierogies with a beer, but are you sure your stomach can handle this right away? Thy're VERY rich. Anyway, the beer will help settle your stomach - beer always settles mine, for some reason.

Now I gotta log off. Entmoot is so friggin' addicting, man, oh, MAN! Gotta go, RL needs me

I hooked up with Emily, an American girl here in SA on a year-long assignment, back in the latter half of 2003. After her Cape Town leg ended in Jan '04, we parted in East London and I took a bus back to CT (which burned down at 5am--different, but fun). This girl's heart.....I have never known in person a kinder and more caring woman. Ours was the only intimate relationship of mine that didn't turn sour.

After we parted, I received a few emails from her, but that ceased after a few weeks. It was a clean break, we were both very busy, so we felt it okay to let communication slip. Getting on with our lives was the "healthy" thing to do.

After about eight months of on/off motivation to take the step and find out how she was, I decided I'd just send her a quick email. I realized that day that in the previous week, an emergency had led to the formatting of my hard drive, and as a result I had none of my old emails, and my personal contact list was no longer there. A week later, I remembered that I had her cell number still, but almost immediately realized that by that time in 2004, she was out of the country, so the number was useless.

Since then, I've been wondering about her: how she is, where she is, if she is even alive or not, etc.

Until today that is. One hour ago.

After all the Google searches and scouring of the net and after all the emails I've sent, the one that counted got through. So yeah, I found her, and now I'm happy.

I now remember what it feels like to be happy.

Good for you!
I thought google was useless all this time, unless you were doing a very simple search.

Nah, Google is definitely your friend. I had to send out a couple of modified emails to "leads" I got yesterday, but it didn't require much guesswork.

Chanterelles are the BOMB!! I haven't had fresh chanterelles since I lived in Washington State. How do you eat them, Nerdanel?
