Can somebody please fill me in on what has happened in the RPG over the last two and a half weeks, please.

Well, TD, the main problem is that we lost our BB. How that happened, you can figure out yourself by reading this thread. I have a bad feeling that it was because of me.
If that is so, I propose to quit, if it will appease him. What do you say, BB? |

Yeah, it's a bummer that BB quit - I don't want ANYone to leave. Crazy Squirrel, don't YOU abdicate, too ! TB, it's fantastic to see you back! Like CS says, if you review the discussion you'll kinda get an idea what's been transpiring this summer. The story's looking great, I think.
The thing is, a while back I introduced the idea of summarizing a brief biography description of the character/s that one controlled, but then shortly afterward, I had to drop out for like a week and a half. When I resurfaced, I complained that my character had been sort of misaligned during my absence; she was doing things that were totally out of character for her as per the bio I had written. After I complained, the fellowship felt bad and everyone went back to their respective posts to make alterations here and there, in an attempt to give Viv back her character - or, at least this is the impression that I got as to why everyone started post-revising. And it was very, very appreciated, and seemed to be working out fine, then... Then I don't know what happened, but BB seemed to have gotten fed up, and quit. The thing is, I myself was set to quit when I got back and my Viv was so changed. I'd have had no problem leaving, but then everyone was so kind and helpful to jump in and reconstruct the story, and after that I grew even more interested in our rpg rather than the other way around. Now all I want is for everybody to get along like they did before all this happened, and have the whole fellowship on board like before. So, that's a re-cap from me, anyway.

Lotesse, I don't want to abdicate. However, IF BB thinks along the lines "It is her or myself", I think he is more beneficial for the story.
I really wish all to stop quarrelling and return to the game as in happy old times. |

Me, too. Bigtime. I wish both you AND butterbeer would BOTH stay, since you are both such great writers and are BOTH instrumental to our story. Losing either one of you is potentially a great loss.

OKay, thanks. And has anything happened to Khamûl that I need to know about before I post with him again?

No, TD, Khamul is whole, though he was once in grave danger from angry Viv.
He still has the hidden Palan-tir. Viv remains silent. Wikkie suspects that his saddlebag is worth looking into. Khamul always carries it with him. |

Hey CS! ... thanks for your kind words and thoughts ....
Look i made my decision and am out of here ... ... i have had a good honest and positive pm discussion with Lotesse and it's cool, it's good. (maybe you should activate Private messaging? ) I have always liked lottesse and for me she's cool - just one of those things y'know? Well CS: i took 99% of my posts with you, as you said, in humour ...so it's nothing personal with you at all ....with you (or anyone) ... it just got too wierd for me at the wrong time ... and being a man of my word i cannot and do not wish to go back on my decision (period) ... hope that is clear It frankly did get wierd if all 3 of us, at various points, all considered leaving ... anyway my decision is final, but you guys should enjoy yourselves. please enjoy yourself all and make me proud of a potentially great RPG ... I still like all you guys and will look forward to dipping into the rpg for a good read and laugh, and also challenging alternative history too, ... ever and anon ... for my part please therefore do continue and i hope you guys can keep me entertained and challenged and interested with your excellent RPG ... if i may add one potentially controversial point .... please do try and use this discussion thread to agree things ... cus' that's what it is here for .... and that means agreeing, not ordering anyway, it's been fun and i like all you guys ... so carry on and enjoy yourselves ... Gor will be back in a week, TD will be back also hopefully in a week or so ... at some point i'm sure EB will become active again on the Moot and hopefully enamoured of it (even if we did have to RPG community-service her in initially (hey EB! hope you are good ... whenever you read this? ) and hey! respect GW for being such a good sport throughout ... and LCOU will be back when he gets access i'm sure ... so it'll be good. best to all! ... and i'm out of here full stop! Best wishes though BB |

Mor found his new minor power. It's cheffing. He's now the best chef that middle earth will ever see - from past to future, none will be able to surpass his cooking talents and ability to manipulate and utilise food, which can be a useful skill for all sorts of reasons, not just a great meal. What do you guys think?

Hey, you guys, when are we gonna flash back to a "meanwhile, back in Sauron's office" kind of story-post? Who does Sau, I can't remember.
And speaking of Sau, I stuck a little twist about our snake at the end of my post, an implication that he accidentally got chopped up and made into a side-dish, but can one of you save him from this plight? Like, he can be found hiding in the back of the pantry, curled up tight and scared out of his little mind, but -not cooked.

That was a killer post, Crazy Squirrel. I could almost feel poor Khamul's pain; anyway he deserves to suffer a little after how he treated Viv! He'll get rescued though, won't he?

Thanx CS! Yeah, I love my loka owl... Now I've gotta put my creativity cap on, and dream up some stuff to find in the cave. You can find stuff, too; it'll just be a sort of tipsy treasure hunt for the girls.
