Here's the thread, Dad.
Hey, could one of you guys point me in the direction of the lyrics to the pirate song? Thanks, mates. What's wrong with a hairy man chest? You prefer a bare womanly chest? What about when it starts to grow back out -- eewww! |

Thanks so much, Elvengirl!
LoD: Well, I think the popular thing now is for men to shave their chests. Most men naturally have at least a little. I can't believe I'm discussing men's chest hair! |

I explored that site more -- it has so much info!
The reason I wanted the lyrics is because there's a song in Disney's Peter Pan called A Pirate's Life, but it's different than that one. I was just curious. |

Well, I dug up this old thread for the simple purpose of exclaiming:
POTC 2 COMES OUT ON THE 7th!!!!!!!!! (I just had to say it. I cannot wait.)

I'm really excited too! But do you think there should be a new thread for the new movie?

There doesn't seem to be a lot of interest in POTC on the board. I wouldn't start a thread unless I was sure people would post in it, personally. But I've got nothing against the idea.

*tingles* I am going to see it tonight. Can't wait. It BETTER be good. *gives Ted and Terry a warning look*
I have a couple problems from what I've heard of the movie, and I'd like to mention them here, so I can see what I like and/or don't like about them when I see it. - Biggest one: Lizzy/Jack. WHAT??!!! This makes NO sense. Since when does Elizabeth fall in love with a smelly, rum-sodden, salt-encrusted, bad-breathed scoundrel? This will take some explaining. -Norrington?? How are you going to explain someone like him falling into that dissolute life that he so despises in the first film? And what about his replacement?? At any rate, my biggest fear is that the movie will be too corny. Like, all cookie-cut-outs and repeats of what they did before. Ah, well. Guess I'll just have to wait and see.

I just watched it again, and I never noticed before, in the end, after all the credits, it shows the monkey stealing a medallion from the chest! I was wondering how the monkey was still undead in the new movie! It also showed a dead Barbossa, [spoiler/] I wonder how he came to be in the second one?[/spoiler]

Pirated Script??

What do you think? When I first saw this, I thought "Yeah, that's exactly something Disney would do. Serves them right." Looking back on it, though, it doesn't quite smell right. Why would this dude sue them after Dead Man's Chest? Why would Disney use the exact same names?

Just watched the first movie over the weekend. The monkey was alive but when it took the coin it once again became under the curse, dead. Also Jack, shot Barbarosa dead-after the curse was lifted so barbarosa had become alive and now is dead.

Barbarosa? I thought he drowned, trying to swim a river in his armour.
