We're all cute. Relatively speaking of course.

You don't have feelings for you dog? Shame on you. I am not afraid to say that I love my little doggy.

I don't think you should force people to eat meat. It's thier own decision. I have to sit at the table and watch my family eat big steaks and the like.

BoP's right, we're all cute. I was just saying that to entice the meat-eaters.

Well, I don't really care who takes up my challenge, but there it is. That's the extent of my convincing. I just don't eat meat because the thought of an animal being ground up for me to eat is not appetizing. It grosses me out to think of eating dead flesh (yes, and live flesh, too, don't be a smart aleck). I actually don't care if anyone else eats it, I agree that we were intended to eat meat, I just don't. Since there aren't any natural predetors left out there, it helps that some people eat meat, but the pollution thing is a problem.
The solution to that of course is for someone to invent the cr@pmobile -- cars that run on animal waste. That would solve 2 problems at once.
But if you WANT to be convinced, it must mean you WANT to try vegetarianism, so I was just giving you an easy in by daring you. I guess you're just afraid to, though, and that's okay!

That mustbe it, then.

Oh, and it looks like my set of fears include materializing feelings for pets. Okaaaaaaaaay.

I knew someone would say that i just knew it. There is nothing wrongwith trees but they are generalised into a spiritual hippie group and also notthing wrong with that i was just making the point just because were veggies doesnt mean we have to go hug trees or wave crystals over a dying person.

Isn't agriculture how they make vegetables? But then we farm our own meat. Range fed is better.

But, since I don't care about "converting" people to vegetarianism - it *is* a personal choice afterall - it hardly matters does it? But you did ask...
It matters! You should eat the tasty animals! Particularly the ones regarded as vermin, like rabbits, and deer here in the SE US. Since all the top predators are gone, there are no natural checks on their population. So someone has to do it.

Try silver birch trees. They're smooth and soft

That's awful. My family are quite considerate to me. If i eat with them they have vegetarian food (ie pasta) otherwise mum gives me food before everyone else eats. It s a solitary life.

Yes that includes vegetables. (But only in a commercial sense.) However, I was coming at it from the methane emissions (air pollution), and land turnover (trampling and such destroy the land for a very, very, long time.)

And it ain't gonna be me. I hate the taste of meat. *sickened look* It physically makes me sick after not eating it for a while. And yes, I know that yet another argument can be applied to the tenure of cattle - farmers provide protection, food, etc, and it's entirely probable that if we evil vegetarians get our depraved way, and everyone stops eating meat - well, the cattle will no longer have the protection they are used to, and will probably die out. It's a fine balance that has been thrown out of whack by commercialism. It's the wastage that gets to me.

I prefer to eat withmy family. As I said, I'm not into forcing people to become vegetarians, it's thier choice. It's like giving up smoking, you have to make the decision yourself, or you will fail.

I dislike food. I would rather be a vegetarian just because meat tastes lousy, but my parents won't let me.

I wish they served more tofu here. . .
Er...don't want to think about food, 'cause I missed breakfast and now I'm really hungry. At least I don't have classes for a while...

I have a quick question that many people may not be able to be objective about...

How often is vegetarianism used as an excuse for anorexia?
