Whatever you like BB. You could try some major clues if you want. (if it will help - in my case, I can't even remember which letters were previously tried unsuccessfully in unsolved letters - so I'm not sure if clues will help - but we'll see)

( i was gonna riddle this - by word and juxtaposition in aplhabet - but am too tired and am away most of tommorow)

...hang on - opens up book -

Et / E-r-l-o / Endorenna / utulien /. -ino-e / -a-u-an / ar / H-ldinyar / tenn' / Ambar -etta!

...here we go: (in no order ) m & a & s

Actually, you said it was "Haldinyer" and he said it was one vowel off, then changed the "e" to an "a"... so instead of "Haldinyer", he had "H_ldinyar"... so either he had the wrong letter wrong, or there were two wrong letters.

That was confusing me; just thought I'd get that out there.

Okay, I vote one of us heroically finds the passage and just does it for BB... this has gone on quite long enough, don't you think?

All right, I'll be the hero and help you out a bit, BB.

Answer to my earlier question: It is H_ldinyar. Not Haldiny_r.

Val: No, not Saruman.

I am inserting all letters that have been guessed correctly so far just for the sake of speeding things up!

Just so you don't have to scroll up...

Et / E-rel-o / Endorenna / utulien /. -ino-e / -aru-an / ar / H-ldinyar / tenn' / Ambar -etta!

Yes - let's just pretend some random elf comes by and gives us the answer or something!

*is too lazy to look it up right now, though*

The thing about random elfs is ... (or elves) if you prefer ...

is after wading through floods and storms and driving through seas of spray and mist, and towing stranded motorists out of flood waters, they eventually turned up as promised.

(Never made it to Liverpool though)

- i agree however this has gone on far too long.

Shall i just post it and give it to Midge as he guessed the correct Speaker?

Yeah, BB... don't you pay attention??? We'd had this conversation in a completely different thread; it's even posted in my signature.

"I am a she!!!" See below.

So I got the quote? Okay... I don't have my book with me, I'm at a different house than mine right now. So currently, my location is lying.

coming! I forgot we sort of just bypassed finishing the other one... Sorry. New quote, comin' up!

"W_e_e_e_/I'_e/_e_n/,/_/a_/b_c_/./Y_s/,/_/h_v_/s_e_/s_m_/o_/t_e/_t_e_s/./
_u_/n_w_/m_s_/w_i_/./T_i_/i_/a/_e_i_o_s/_i_h_/,/a_d/_/m_s_/r_d_/f_s_/./"

And I was getting impatient because nobody was replying to anything! Ha! Just goes to show you... or me. Whatever.

Yes, yes, yes to all you've said... except the part you left out. Do I have to retype it? We've left:

This will be a filler post - just so the new quote comes at the top of a page, instead of the bottom.
