I saw High Fidelity last night. I thought it was great! I was impressed that though John Kusak's character was a complete jerk for most of the movie, I still found myself cheering for him. That's some quality movie-making IMO.

The Ring 2, 'cause my daughter wanted to see it. Not particularly impressive.

I just saw Fargo, but the Choen Brothers. Exellent film They make really cool movies. It was a bit weird, but very good. The actress playing Marge, the policewoman, was briliant.

I agree with you Lady Ravyn. I think it would have been loads better if they had just made the movie about a Roman soldier named Artorius Castos (and dispensed with the anachronistic Saxon cross-bows). Seriously, I really think it would have been an improvement. (I'm not just poking fun.)
It would have been an original idea, and the movie was pretty entertaining. The battle scenes somehow were a little boring to me though ( ).

Robots. Accompanied by my daughter, cause turn-about-is-fair-play.

Excellent work visually and in the pastiche of old movie send-ups in the script. I highly recommend it. Laugh out loud funny on several levels at once. I think this one will be a classic. But, that's just one opinion!

My daughter was laughing out loud too! At 14, that's pretty funny! Especially when we were exiting the theatre and she says "I can't believe I went to see a little kids movie." I responded, "That's great! I'm a 50 year old little kid!"

So the old folks laughed; the teenager laughed; the little kids laughed! A pretty good movie recommendation in my mind!

The Core. Right down there with Armegeddon, Flash and Legolas's RotK 'Captain Obvious' moments.

I'm on spring break...so time to do nothing!
seen so far:
"Master & Commander" (1st time...great movie...I think I like an unusual high number of "guy" films)
"You've Got Mail" (1st time...cute)
"Lilo & Stitch" (1st viewing also...absolutely loved that )
Snippets of "Anne of Avonlea" (sigh, Gil...and even Morgan Harris. It's really weird...Morgan looks like a slightly younger version of my mock trial coach...; don't know anyone who looks like Gilbert Blythe tho)
"Anne of GG:The Continuing Story" (1st time...decent, however I wish they wouldn've have departed from the books and instead done a few more movies!)

I have "Thirteen Days" - should I watch that?

Thirteen Days is just as much a bore as JFK, Wyatt Earp was. Too Long and toooo long and, and just to mention it, tooo flaming loooooong . Costner is taking himself way too seriously. rates

I was sick today, so I watched The Man Who Wasn't There
Really great movie. Bizare, like the other Cohen movies I've seen. I really like their style. Thornton's acting is really good. Enjoyable
