On the Ringwraith question, didn't Frodo say something like "In the name of the Shire, you shall have neither the Ring nor me!" Isn't that a threat?

I think it was Glorfindel.

It could also have been Gandalf.

yeah he'd met gandalf before Moria.. but he (gandalf)wasn't a balrog slayer until after .. therefore he hadn't been a balrog slayer when he met him before moria cus' he only slew the balrog after Frodo and the boys ahd headed west to Lothlorien ...

hi TD! by the way - hope you are good!

best

Hiya BB. Yeah, I'm good thanks. It wasn't a serious answer, just a light hearted one.

Mithrand1r - since you answered this, go ahead and give the next question.

However - I don't think we should allow questions like this. The information about Glorfindel having killed a Balrog is not in FotR - so I don't think it's a valid question (and even then... you have to get into the question of whether or not he was INDEED the same Glorfindel, etc... ).

So - let's keep all questions from the book, henceforth.

Sounds like a good idea.

My question:

Where do people go if they wanted "peace and quiet"?

That is a very good guess.

Unfortunately I was thinking of another place. If noone else guesses the answer I am looking for you may get to ask the next question.
