i hate the weather - it is far too hot, both the heat and the sunlight give me incredible headaches

and i have UCAS thingies next week, even though i still haven't decided on a university course, perhaps i ought to think about that , well at least i have narrowed it down to a few universities, just to pick my 5 favourites to apply for now, then i can get my UCAS form off as soon as i go back to college in september

You're welcome - I guess it just costs whatever your medical plan (or lack thereof) covers (or doesn't cover) - not too helpful, I know - sorry! If you have insurance, I'm sure it's covered, so it's just the cost of an office visit each time. If you don't, it's not an expensive procedure, and the freezing stuff is cheap, so I don't think it would be too expensive.

As far as cutting it out - prob. OK for a hand, but I really liked how the doctor dealt with my daughter's wart on her foot - he said it was better to go slowly and work the wart out then to cut it out, because there would be no scar/hole that way, and you'll be walking on your feet the rest of your life and don't want anything there.

So he would freeze it, then for 2 weeks we scraped it at night then put wart medicine on it then put a bunion pad thing on it (a foam thing with a circle cut out in the center and adhesive on it) and as you walked, the pressure of your weight would force the wart up through the hole, so next time he could freeze and cut away more. I think it only took 3 visits for us, because I had a little scalpel thing at home and would scrape it pretty good myself so it went faster.

As I said, the problem is that the wart is level with the foot on the outside, because you walk on it, so the wart goes inside the foot, and it needs to be coaxed out with the bunion pad thing.

Good luck!

Hi, Earthbound - well, I'm not going anywhere this summer, still here in L.A., but the last month I've been almost completely deprived of my mooting priviledges. Due to the home computer going down, I've only been able to visit here and there, on my boyfriend's laptop whenever I can, but thankfully he's finally taken it to a computer doctor and if all goes well I should be back up and mooting within the next week or so, exciting for me since I've just bought The Silmarillion (today) and am looking forward to Sil talks (hopefully) this summer.
Guess I don't really have anything to bitch about right now, but - hello, everybody! I miss you all...

only vent, or bitch-n-complain, that I really have 4 now is that nobody seems to be into the trivia lately, just when I'm starting to get warmed up...meh.

Ok, so I'm quoting Galaxy Quest, but you get the idea. Trivia ebbs and flows but a few of us try to keep an eye on it. I'm just back from vacation and am pleased to see you express interest in confounding us all. I look forward to your questions whence your computer is repaired.

All the best.

I am not joking, Starr, the only thing outside hard core medicine that makes my throat feel better and to help with coughing is hot cocoa.....During the winter when the sniffles and sore throats start hot chocolate is the only thing that saves me......

Hope you feel better....

Hope you're feeling a little better, EarthBound. Today, MY vent (aside from wanting to pulverize my emotionally blocked non-communicative money-obsessed insulting boyfriend) is that no one wants to play trivia with me. *whine winge sniffle*
