that last one is amazing! Close-ups are awesome!
I have an orchid that my sister-in-law gave me, and the buds are really cool. My little point-and-shoot has a close-up option - I'll have to give it a try. Do you have a special lens?

Some of my more 'artsy' holiday photo's:
There was a hole in the waterhose that continually let out a fine haze of water. The droplets in the sun looked absolutely stunning. You can chalk this one up as 'inspired by Nerdanel'. It were her photographs that made me realise little things apart from animals and flowers can be beautiful in their own right. You just have to see it. (And unlike the many dragonflies I habitually chase after on holidays, this actually stays put so one can experiment with light settings. Also, if I blow the drops up really big, I can see my own reflection!) The archaeological site of Tappa. (I think, could be Torre too, I tend to confuse them. ) Bronze age buildings rule.

Really nice, Earny! I like that tree sap one - is that what that is? And the archway thing is composed very nicely - it has a nice feel to it.

Treefrog! Wheee! Looks like one of the Hyla. I didn't know there would be treefrogs that much up north, is he local or imported?

Aha, that explains why he doesn't entirely look like the Common European Frog, but then the Hyla-family is quite extensive. Anyway, good mug shot!

a late-night crow saying goodbye to the sun... "i promise, it won't hurt..." enticement they've made the sky out of reach... i feel there's a cheesy sci-fi story coming out of this.

a nice TED-talk by photographer taryn simon, who has photographed secret sites and people, wrongfully convicted for violent crimes.
http://www.ted.com/talks/taryn_simon...ret_sites.html what i liked most about her as a photographer, is her insight into the weaknesses and strengths of photography. she took pictures of people who were misidentified as murderers, rapists and robbers based on photographs, and talks about how easy it is to alter our memories of events.

Nice crisp and clean website. I like it. I do like the idea that you included the possibility to get prints. You have some very lovely photos.

Just had a poke around, it is great.
Dunno if you can fine-tune what gets displayed when, but that would be my suggestion: I thought that maybe some of the images that you see on the landing pages could have been different. Do you mind if I print out a couple of your Iceland ones and bung em up on my collage on the wall? I'm thinking particularly of the one of the steaming hillside. They remind me of a trip there with the wifie (pre-digital camera era - only one image survived, of Strokkur poised to go off - here it is: [IMG][/IMG]) |

Nerdanel, the website is very neat!
This spring I was alone with my camera one day at the beach. Last month I made a collage.
