Well... my room contains as of now: a sleeping bag, a pillow, a pile of library books and a laptop...
Tomorrow I have to hand in my keys before 9.30 AM and my thesis before noon. Then I have to do some adminitrational stuff that comes with moving, after that I get to go home and when I finally get home it's probably dinner time and after that the family comes for the birthday thing... One thing: on Tuesday I'm going to sleep. The entire day. >_<

"And we are back here on the M.O.O.T. 102,2 with The Moots playing Barry Manilow's I sing the songs..."
I've been alive forever, and I typed the very first posts. I put the words and the threads together, I am fonts and I type posts. I type the posts that make the whole world sing. I type the posts of love and special thing. I type the posts that make the young girls cry. I type the posts, I post the threads. My home lies deep within you, and I've got my own place in your sole. Now, when I look out through your eyes, I'm you're again, even though I'm very old. I type the posts that make the whole world sing. I type the posts of love and special thing. I type the posts that make the young girls cry. I type the posts, I post the threads. Oh my threads makes you type and gives your spirit a hype, and I wrote some rock 'n' roll so you can move. Words fills your heart, well, that's a real fine place to start. It's from me it's for you, it's from you, it's from me, it's a world wide symphony. I type the posts that make the whole world sing. I type the posts of love and special thing. I type the posts that make the young girls cry. I type the posts, I post the threads. I am fonts, and I type the posts. |

Hi, people. I'm a recluse who is joining you... possibly temporarily.. I'm going through withdrawal... Anyone got any good (clean) jokes?

Happy Birthday, Mari!
Clean jokes are no fun, Midge. All jokes are by nature contaminated by something... not necessarily a bad something.

okay. Just because I am incredibly bored... I think I might just talk about all eleven pages I just read. Okay?
So... it seems to me that a whole bunch of us sort of live in the same area. I know that ... Curufin... (how on earth do you get Rinkë from Curufin???) lives ... ish where I do... but you all other people with storms and stuff??? It just wouldn't be home if there weren't the slight chance I could always... ALWAYS get out of work early because we had to close the store for tornado sirens. =D. And oh, yeah... don't forget that hail that sounds like the air raids are dropping bullets on your house... or car.. or whatever. And the wind that will literally blow you off your feet (I've got experience... actually lost my balance putting gas in my car from the wind before) if you weigh less than 110 pounds... hold on... or just guessing... 242 kilos. Is that about normal for a five-foot-ish size woman? I'm new to this not-American measuring system, if you can't tell. Honestly, I have wondered about the end times thing myself. Pretty sure that it says something about the earth being in a tumult.. and all this stupid rain we're getting sure gets my surrounding area in quite the chaotic state. I'd watch out, Mari. If it gets worse (or closer to the "end".. per se) ... you just might have tornadoes in Western Europe! And you guys like tea. Would you call me "southern" if I pretty much stick to the iced, sweet tea? My boyfriend does. And because my mom decorates our house with birdhouses. Hey! I just thought of something amazing. I am starting a new job soon, helping my university clean up some "back-burner" stuff on its website. I GUESS that possibly means that I could hang out online a heck of a lot more! You guys REALLY like cats. Or just kittens. And that whole British-spelling thing? Yeah.. I like the way YOU guys spell it better than we do here. Lucky ducks (I like ducks.. o los patos). I got into trouble in my ENG 110 class last semester because I used the word "honour" or "colour" or something like that. It's just a lot more elegant-looking... and that makes you say it much more beautifully. Seriously. Say "Honour"... now say "Honor". "Splendour".. now "splendor". "Grey"... now "gray". "Theatre"... now "theater"... I guess you get my drift. But you see the difference? I'm going to go to bed now I guess. So much for me getting to sleep early.

Hiya Midge, that's quite the rant! We have ice tea here as well though. Want some?
Kittens.... yeah, I love 'em. Have you met my sabertooth tiger already? He's the big cat over there *points* His name is Aeran. Yes, really it is. Now see why your name in LLL sounded familiar? Everyone, thanks! If you have an hour or so I'll make you guys cake ^_^ *starts lugging the bags with groceries to the kitchen and a lot of noise can be heard... after a while nice smells start to drift into the Teacup* No time to do baking IRL, but I wouldn't want to completely break with tradition NB: Midge, I was taught British spelling in secondary school. After all, we are closer to the UK then to the US, haha!

yeah.. I noticed that earlier. My people are more of dog people than cat people. My dad's doctrine was this: When cats are little, they are cute kittens, but when they grow up to be cats, they become target practice. Not that I feel that way; they do NOT offend me.
I figured Western Europe was closer to the UK than US... or us. Whatever. I'm not actually sure my high school English teacher cared about British or American spelling... as long as it was correct one way or the other. I have a friend that used to use it in all his essays (still does). I just got the picky prof. last semester. Name? Prof. Adele Newson-Horst. YUP. We never called her by her actual name. We just sort of called her a variation of "Um..." Okay. It's 2 am here. I really am going to bed.

Hey Midge - I think you did your conversion the wrong direction. If you're under 110 pounds, that's like being under 50 kilos, not 242. 242 kilos would make you quite large.

Like I said... I'm new to this thing. I knew the conversion factor was 2.2... but I didn't know if it was 1 kilo/2.2 pounds or 2.2 kilos/1 pound.
