I worked in a Butterfly house last summer. Please see my post in the Teacup cafe...which I accidently put here. Or should it stay here, it was happy?

It's happy here though, lots of quiet, a good roommate and I managed to arrange my schedule so that I have no classes or obligations at all after noon, every day. Which means lots of time to study and post and just hang out. I was exploring the library on tuesday and I found a book/essay thing by Tolkien that I hadn't known even existed. It's called Tree and Leaf and it's all about Fairy Tales. It's wonderful, I read about halfway through it before I realized I had to go back and do homework. Shiny!

How funny!! Yeah, I'm either cold or hot - no middle grounder am I; I got no patience for the colour grey! Or the color gray, depending on whether or not one goes by the Queen's English. There I go, digressing again.

I feel like putting a happy cute picture here - I feel happy about funny-looking kittens!! You know, to make up for my earlier spider shocker.
... not to ostracise puppies, they need a happy nod, too...

gotta be the ears...or at least a large part of it. AW! Puppies! They dont look demented.
I suddenly found myself the proud grandfather of a batch of puppies. It turns out my pet wolf Blue found a wife in my siberian husky...My friend dave just called who was looking after them back home.

Ohhh, I wish I could have one! I want a dog so badly, but I can't get a dog 'til I buy a house with a yard. I move around too much.

well, keep in mind, some cities, like LA have banned half-wolves on the grounds that they are unpredictable. Not all together untrue, without a BUNCH of socialization, they are very wild. That and they are fairly big, Blue aint no feather weight. But i want a pet sooo bad here. I wanted to bring Blue or Dunya, but they are cold weather dogs...drat. *happy* will go back to see them come thanksgiving!

Ohh, dogs We've got one, and we really luv him. He's ten years old and it seems he's going deaf... doesn't always react when we call him (and no, it's not because he won't obey sadly he can't always hear us). But still keeps away people who are not wanted to approach the house - can be very frightening when he's jumping up and down at the gate, barking and showing his teeth
And my friend got a puppy as a present when she finished high school and the cute little one knows me and luvs me after my friend, I was the first person to see her, so maybe that's why

I am just happy and blessed!
Really loving our new (well, not new but first) home! We had to cut down a leaning oak tree in the front yard and now we are shopping for some palms to replace it. We are debating between a Sabal palm and a Pindo palm. I love this landscaping stuff! Oh, and the weather has been cooling down! Thank the Lord!

I'm so HAPPY!!! Just got off the phone with my momma, my MOTHER!!! SO HAPPY!!! happyhappyhappyhappy - Oh, man, it has been so long since I've heard her sweet voice, I love my momma so so so much. Got to finally hear news about my sister & brothers, and my new little niece, what a terrific coversation! Happy day.
Oh - Tree Dweller, I personally think the Pindo palm is nicer; it's not gonna grow all uber-tall, and its bushier and more interesting looking I think. Congrats on your new house!
