BTW, SGH told me about the Athrabeth thread you guys had going a while ago - *pouts* why oh why couldn't I have joined two years ago! - so I just read the first 100 or so posts of it... That's it. I'm going to buy some HoME books... It's been so long since I read that thing...but I loved the way Finrod was characterised in it. IMO, most if not all of the time you look at Silm (and sometimes LotR) characters from the outside, and really have to guess at what they're really thinking. I loved this opportunity to really delve into the mind of a character ( And my favourite, at that ) *swoons* what can I say, I'm a philosophy major! So... does anyone know if any other (Elvish ) characters are actually... um... dramatised?...like this anywhere?

Come now!
What boyband could possibly suffice? *picturing Finrod, Maglor, and Daeron singing random Backstreet Boys song* *shudders*

It could be worse...
*BoP has an unfortunate image of Finrod et al masquerading as New Kids on the Block* .... Does that mean that Maedhros was hanging tough?

God, Entmoot is a bad influence, even on me. I should be ashamed of myself. NOT! Besides, forget about Meadhros' pants, I want to hear about Finrod's.

I refuse to believe that this thread has reached 22 pages. When 'thudding' goes wrong.

Wait - I have a better idea - why don't you take the Tuor in your books 100% of the time, and I'll take the Tuor in my books 100% of the time (somehow splitting him with Fingon 100% of the time because I'm halfelven, but I won't worry about the physics involved...) *going back to normal self, as opposed to crazed-fangirl-for-a-joke persona* So who's your second favorite guy, just out of curiosity? (It's interesting that we both like a human - it seems like the fangirls usually go for the elves!)

Hold on a second, woman. You can not have Fingon. I have dibs on him, after Finrod of course. You have too many as it is. What a horn dog.

No, my requirements are simple - in my Middle Earth life, my human half gets Tuor, and my elven half gets Fingon. All others I admire, but from afar ... I am a virtuous woman *halo suddenly appears above her head* and am faithful to my loves - I can't help that I'm halfelven and require one love for each half!
and the QUEEN OF NARGOTHROND should ONLY get Finrod! So there!

No one's gonna mess with you Arien, even Morgoth is afraid of you!
I think I'm largely unchallanged for Beren... After reading "Letters of Firiel" Val (I'm on p.36), I also like Arvedui! (And Firiel of course.)
