*coughs discreetly into a tissue*
I'm almost well again... I think. And random (belated) commentary on the wireless/cell phone convo from above.... Mari that is crazy! We had wireless at our school for everyone, though they made you download the security thing to get on it. Which wasn't annoying until they changed providers in my last semester. And it seemed that my school had a particular dislike of all people who owned Macs (as I do), and refused to make the mac version of the wireless program available online like the Windows version was. They wanted me to actually physically bring my computer to the computer help store on campus ostensibly so they could install the program for me. a) I know how to install an application on my computer, thank you b) I bet they just wanted to start a list of those errant Mac users on campus... Anyway... on to cell phones. I no longer have one and I feel free free free! I was being overcharged anyway. |

I never thought I'd need the cell so much...it's an evil thing.

Well the only reason I got my phone in the first place was when I went away to school. I needed it to call home and in case there were any problems on the 2+ hour drive it took to get there.
But it was just too darn expensive to be worthwhile! And now I'm overseas, I didn't need it anymore anyway, so I took the opportunity to get rid of the darn thing lol. |

I hardly use my cellphone. But I only pay about 6 dollars a month for 150 minutes.
It was very useful that I brought mine to the UK though, when we got stuck in the middle of nowhere with a flat tire. I was the only one with a phone, so we called the rental company and then the AA.

Well, apparently "Eclipse" is in the middle of another printing. No place in town has it - not even Walmart which has the other three.
Amazon, however, had it, and with the upgrade to overnight shipping, I will have it in my grubby little hands tomorrow. *excited*

hello fellow mooters!
i wish to ask you all a question! right first ill set the picture a bit. i was very excited to find that our house the musical was playing at my local theater so got to tickets for me and a friend. now three days before we are ment to go my "friend" drops out with a very bad excuse. Now i am £28.50 down and thinking on the pros and cons of going on my own. Can you really go to the theater on your own? to see a madness musical? hmmmm i dont know! i am now very disappointed and out of pocket however i do very much want to sing along to sure songs or house of fun and wings of a dove. But its just no fun if your singing on your own unless your singing in your room or the bath!

Do you not have another friend to go with you? Honestly, I've gone to see a musical by myself before (It was "Once On This Island"!). It wasn't bad at all. You may not feel comfortable singing on your own, but you can sit there and sing it in your head and enjoy the musical. If it's age-appropriate (I've never heard of it, so I don't know), you might take a younger sibling or cousin or niece or nephew with whom you've not spent time in a while.
If I were you, I'd go if I really wanted to see the show.

Yes, one can go to the theatre alone.
You've got tickets already. Of course you should go, even if your friend won't come. It might not be as fun, but that's no excuse for letting your tickets go to waste. Especially when you've been looking forward to the musical.

I WOULD also see if you can't maybe get your money back for your other ticket or sell it at a discounted price to someone else who also wants to go the theatre (if that's legal).

Go, go! It might be awkward at first, but you'll have so much fun later on and then you can tell your friend all about what he/she missed!

however a knight on a white horse has appeared in the form on my friends ex who wishs to go! for those who want to know our house is a musial based on the music of madness a group that was big in the 70's and 80's in the uk with sure songs as house of fun our house baggy trousers driving in my car! i grow up listening to my dad singing along to theses songs in the car!

Yes, "this one" is about absolutely nothing. This is probably one of, if not the, most famous thread entmoot contains. We all just chitty-chat over nothing in particular and get to know one another. Just a way to waste time if needed to be wasted , but youre really not wasting time if youre having fun. I love talking to everyone here. ... get what I am saying? haha. I drew this picture once, in honor for my love of the Teacup Cafe Quote:

I also would have advised you to see it anyway - but of course it's even nicer to see it with somebody.

Ambiguity may be your forte, Naughty, but we miss you while you're being mysterious.

Phooey. I bought you a present and you haven't been about, since.
No, while he's being ABSENT. I don't miss him while he's being mysterious, at all.
