Perhaps, Eärn X) But it's a possibility, if slight. I've never heard of any man who'd feel unmanly making the decisions though Where'd you get that from?
I'll talk about it with her tomorrow...

Rats, I missed a negation. Always happens when you're trying to be clever and use a double negative. It should be 'some men can't stand not being the one who makes the decisions'.

On a similar note I once bought a pink table (I seriously hate pink) on account of it being so darned ugly it was actually quite pretty.

My sister often used to say 'Zo erover dat het er recht op is'. These things don't always translate well. But it would have to be some spectacular pink table before I would consider buying it. Totally wouldn't fit the rest of my room either. Quote:

Why don't you just try it?
It creates different soundscapes, and you can even have it randomize itself by clicking "Animate". You can listen to fire, rain, a wintry walking trip, birds, wind chimes (or what do you call them?) and such.

Because on a daily basis we're so bombarded with links left and right that I've grown to dislike clicking on anything without having at least an idea what I'm going to see. And apart from youtube funny cat vids you don't always know immediately what the site you're linked to even does and I don't always have the time or the wish to invest in finding out.
But now that you've explained it, it sounds rather cool. Useful for when you want something to listen too when working that isn't as distracting as singing. |

My house is mostly oak and earthy colours. One or two very coloured pieces of furniture aren't a problem My friend has very bright walls (banana yellow in her bedroom and sky blue in her living room). It would drive me crazy.

Sis has aubergine in her bedroom. Not a colour I would have picked but they seem happy with it. I am a bit jealous of the lovely prusian blue wall in the living area though, since I love the colour but it's too dark for most spaces. With her it looks just right.
The previous owners had a bit of a... special taste. Orange and lemon green with a bright blue kitchen? |

Ugh, that sounds awful! Though my cousins have done their house in a sixties style with army green and orange and that looks really tasteful, even though I don't like the sixties. So I guess it can be done.

If you're doing it in a certain style, rather than just slapping different colours on your wall, then I can certainly see it working. But usually you have to find a good match between wall colour, furniture ánd any decoration. That's not easy to accomplish, I think.

I agree. And let's face it, some people just don't have any sense of taste whatsoever (Of course, I do )

Ill. It's been a particular nasty hayfever season for me. On top of that a cold snuck up on me between hayfever-induced sneezing fits meaning I have now doubled my clean hankies-intake. The good side I don't have to iron any hankies, they go straight from the washing-machine into use these days. Silver lining and all that jazz. |

Why would you even bother to iron your handkerchief in the first place? *looks very confused*
I never iron everything, though I guess I probably should at least iron my blouses.
