It is big, because there are more than 70 pictures there - it is a very complex animation. If the number of pictures is reduced, the display picture will not change so gradually, and all the effect will be lost.

What is the limit for the file size for avvies?

60x60 pixels or 19,5kb, according to my user CP.

Thanks for the info, Earniel.
The actual picture is 60x60 but much larger - 96 KB.

So, IMHO, there is a need to take away lots of frames to fit it in 19,5 KB.

So, either the animation will be shorter, or it will be more "jerky", jumping from one frame to another and not "flowing" as it does now. What would you prefer, TB?

I had to take out 80 frames out of 100. Now it has but 20, so moves faster.

It is not so nice as the original, esp. the loss of resolution is annoying, but I think now it fits the criteria for avvies, as it is 60x60 pixels and 19 Kb in size.

He made the old one for me.

The other one is this icon, but reversed, in grey-scale, and with two Tengwar letters in yellow in the top left corner.

So no one wants an av? I still cant to clear backgrounds yet, but I have done some good photomanips with my new program.

In honor of my 500th post, I would like to change my avatar. Is it possible to make an avatar that switches between pictures like Elanor's Angel's does? If so, then I would like one that changes between pictures of Monk, Star Wars, Spider-Man and the current Pip av I have now. Unless that's too much...
