I liked Crime and Punishment best of the Dostoyevsky Three -(Crime & Punishment, Brothers Karamazov, Idiot). It was the first Dostoyevsky novel I read, back in eigth grade, and remains my favourite of them.
Just started on "The White Peacock," by D.H. Lawrence.

"Nectar in a Sieve" it got some book award in the 1950s, and is the chosen book for a "Signet Classics" high school essay contest. It's about an Indian women (India Indian). Anybody read it?

I read a few pages in English in 10th grade. I liked it alright. That was the one where they were going to make that tannery place thing, right?
Crime and Punishment rocks out, Lotesse. I read it twice. Did you ever see the movie Murder by Numbers? |

I'm reading the Storm Front by Jim Butcher. It's the first in the Dresden Files series. It's pretty good so far...sort of like Harry-Potter-grows-up-to-be-cheap-PI.
![]() Honey Mustard by Yeo Hukyung, which is a super cute new manga. And hopefully soon Tsubasa vol. 6 which my friend is sending to me. ![]() Yes, quick easy reading before school starts next week. ![]() |

Still enjoying the Odyssey, and Pensees - the second half of Frankl's book is a little less interesting.

A sort of children's fantasy, about a brilliant boy who discovers that there really are fairies living in sivilized societies beneath the earth and tries to rob them...
Currently reading The Man in the High Castle by Philip K. Dick, very, very good so far.

![]() I really liked it, but Brothers Karamazov is still the best. Even more so than The Possessed. I have to say, I did NOT expect the novel to end with Myshkin going back into a "profound stupor". That was quite dramatic. Probably the most frightening. Reading "Jane Eyre" Page 100.

great book! (S&S)
I just finished the Odyssey - a lot different than the Iliad - more fun and lively, but not so moving. We're leaving for Arizona on Friday for my in-law's 50th anniversary - I'll try to finish Pensees and start on Mr. Dante (finally!) And Mr. Shakespeare is still looking at me from his place next to the computer - I want to read more of his works.
