Congratulations, Tessar!^^

I'm happy, because I'm going to Saint Petersburg, Russia over the weekend, and because it's spring, sunny and I coloured my hair green.

Thanks everyone . I'm still floating on cloud nine today over the news.

SCaA--not finished per say, but I've done quite a few of my core classes, and the university that I attend doesn't require you to get math/science/etc. out of the way before starting on your degree plan.

Now if you mean have I finished High School, then yes--I started college about two years ago, but going very, very slowly because I wasn't able to begin music lessons till I started college, and so splitting the cost of my lessons/classes cut down the number of hours I could take to about two classes (6 hours) each semester.

Hector--I doubt I'll be able to tell you much about Handel, but I probably know more than you can possibly imagine about everyone who's ever sung his works .

Assuming we're talking about sopranos, and altos, that is. I -so- have a thing for good sopranos who can sing Handel.

i.e. Renne Fleming? She can really sing Handel. It's tempting to marry her, but I have to resist...I wouldn't be able to live with the fame.

Or Marilyn Horne, also a great Handel singer. But she's too old to marry now

Actually I really don't like either of them. Sorry! I love the bits I've heard of Renee from when she was fresh out of the conservatory, but these days I don't care for her voice.

Now Cecila Bartoli on the other hand... OMG, no one, no one, NO ONE else sings Handel like Ceclia can.

Angela Kazimiercz is a somewhat less well known singer who also does a fantastic Handel.

... anyways .

How can you not like Marilyn Horne? Have you heard her sing "Vivi Tiranno" from Handel's Rodelinda?
You don't know what you're talking about...

Cecilia Bartoli is great for everything. Definitely my fav singer of all time. You should look into the Salieri Album she released a couple of years ago.

EDIT: Don't forget Magdalena Kozena

OMG how cute.

What do you mean "might be getting"? You must get that cute little furball so you can post more pics of him

Isn't he the cutest widdle upkins?

We're actually waiting on another later breeding cos we'll be away on holiday in europe when he's ready to be homed @ 12 weeks. If there's no other late breedings, then we'll definitely be getting him.
