a barn swallow on a boat.

blue mussles that thought they found a nice substrate, until someone picked the bottle up from the sea bottom.

resting lesser black-backed gull.

Wow!

That reminds me of a cloud we saw once in the Midwest, which is famous for its storms. We were on a summer trip, and this cloud front started building up, and all of a sudden went incredibly powerful and ugly - twisted, tortured clouds that were an angry reddish color making massive shapes in the sky. I wish I had a picture of it, but we were busy driving away and avoiding it before night fell. We managed to stay on the outskirts of the storm and finally outrun it, but the rain and lightning and winds were awesome!

Yeah, it was rather scary - I've never seen colors quite like that in clouds. They were this ugly brownish-red, and the wind and rain were crazy even on the outskirts of the storm. We decided to take off!

the pink on the bed of white petals struck me when i walked through one of the greenhouses at the farm in morocco.
