CoS is one of my favorite books, actually. The end part is really awesome. You also must've gotten into one of the biggest "eeew" plots in the book...pink ribbons, anyone?

If a couple of Land Dwellers marry on a Sea Folk ship, would that be the equivalent of a Vegas wedding

And what the hell was that thing that Mat's medallion branded!?

I think you learn more about him later in the book. If you want some specifics on him now...

He's what they call a gholam. Basically, it's a creature designed to kill Aes Sedai. It can't be touched by channeling, and is incredibly flexible and strong. It can squeeze under doors and through holes, and is able to rip someone's head off with its bare hands. Remember poor Harid Fel in his study?

I read that yesterday on my lunch. I had been trying to figure out what that was since Fel. Now I know.

Have you gotten to Book 11 yet? That's what really tipped the scales in Eg's favor for me. Trust me, she and Elayne really change in that book.

I'm not a big Egwene fan either. She's too caught up in being an Aes Sedai to realize all the shortcomings of their organization. And you think she would know better after her experience with the wise ones.

That said, I haven't read Book 11 yet.

In case you haven't noticed I just finished CoS. I'm not too sure bout the outcome of Rand's duel, though

Ok remember in DR when Min had that viewing of Perrin with a falcon and a hawk on his shoulders. The Falcon is Faile, but why hasn't anybody realized that Berlain(sp) is the Hawk? (Mayne's sign is a golden hawk iirc) I thought it was obvious, but Perrin and Min haven't put two and two together yet.

Btw, what was the Viewing of Moriane that is the only one of Min's viewings that was wrong?

Because nobody in WoT is intelligent enough...

Seriously, the reader puts two and two together WAY before any characters put them together. Note that the reason for the Hawk symbol is Artur Hawkwing.

It's not 100% clear and I'll avoid any real spoilers with speculation, but I think the point is that:

a) Min accepts Morriane as dead after going through the doorway.

and

b) She has had a viewing about her that hadn't come true.

So, either the viewing was wrong, or...

Wow, now I've made so many WoT references as to annoy the friend who introduced WoT to me in the first place!

I have taken three WoT quizzes and each one says im someone different. One said I was Rand, one said I was Brigget (is that spelled right), and one said I was Egwene. Weird.
