Sorry about that pressure, Mari... just remember, you have to do what's right for -you- . But it is a huge pain when people keep telling you to do something you don't want to do!

My jaw hurts . For the past few days it's just been... tight. I feel like I'm flexing my jaw all of the time, unless I make a continuous, constant effort to relax it. And singing just makes it worse... I have a small issue with some jaw tension when I sing... usually it's not a big deal, but with my jaw already being tense before I even start to sing, it's kind of painful and very uncomfortable.

I wonder if it's just because I'm so stressed out right now over finals. I've been trying to distract myself by doing things like the theater work, and that helps, but when I study or if I'm just not doing anything... argh. *massages jaw*

Back to studying!

Last time I had a really sore jaw, it turned out to be a serious injury. Get it checked out, Tessar.

Thank you. I usually think so.

But I have an idiot meter whose gauge is going into the red.

I have friends who are artists who can't make the compromises necessary to make a living. The only people willing to pay for their art are too ordinary to deserve a piece of their sculpture. Takes a certain callousness to see your work (of whatever kind) be vulgarly raffled. I think I took on too much, this season, but I'm a sucker.

Tessar. See a dentist.

I have a cold. One of the nasty ones. I guess I shouldn't expect anything else after not eating nor sleeping enough. But I'll stop being angry with myself for not taking care of myself and focus on getting rid of this instead.

Hope you feel better, soon, Nerd.

Two unrelated vents. First, a poll. Who here has ever pulled an all-nighter to finish a paper, study for a test, or prepare a project for work? Anyone?

I always believed that was a standard part of reality. @@

Second, whatever could POSSESS people to get tongue piercings or lip collagen? Hurts to have mouth injuries. :/

Get better soon. But sometimes, you just can't escape whether you take care of yourself or not. I've got one them buggers too and I've been practically worthless all week. Really not great when you're trying to do some difficult paperwork. I haven't had a decent night sleep for three nights on a row. Fne.

Who hasn't? Although to be fair, while I stayed up late and woke up early for quite a few projects, I always managed to get some hours of sleep. Without any sleep I would have without a doubt failed on my test, project presentation or what not. It wouldn't have been worth it.

I've stayed up as late as 5 a.m. writing a paper that was due at 8 a.m. that day, but I know I have to get at least SOME sleep. I honestly can't handle staying up all night, because my eyes start to buuuuuuuuuuuuurn so much that I can't keep them open, and they get really dry, and I lose my voice even for speaking, and I start tripping and falling... So I certainly can't drive.

So I've gone close to all-nighters, but never actually pulled one for reelz.

Hey, guys. Guess who screwed me over. My Chem teacher, that's who!! He gave us this bogus little 20 question Final Exam, and two of the questions were from a chapter that we hadnt even begun to study. He got an earful, I'll tell you that much.

I have post-grad in Geography (ie papers only masters) & a degree in anthropology.

My jaw was actually fine today. It was really bothering me last night when I was trying to fall asleep, till I rolled over on my side and shoved my face into the pillow to put pressure on my jaw. Seemed to work, because I dropped off pretty quickly after that when I started doing my usual body relaxation/focus exercises.

Today it didn't really bother me at all... we'll see how it feels when I start studying in a few minutes .

Man, I am done with studying! I finished last night, because I had my chemistry exam today. Now I have to do a presentation for Coastal Biology (cake-walk), and the final for Biology, which I have an A+ in, and I never study for that class. I'm set, dude. But, uh, you know good luck still. I hope your jaw totally clears up before you have to perform again.

All nighters are old friends of mine, I've sat down to write a paper/study, then got up and gone to class right after it was done. Eesh, these are the fun things in life.....

Vent: Jet lagged and hassled to hell by more bums with guns and authority.

I think I just failed the one and only class I could not afford to fail...
and now I want to go home but I can't 'cause I still have one more class to go and a paper to read and write.
I'm very sad, upset and a bit angry right now...
