"Stay here Starletta...I'll be right back." I got up and walked off, warg in trail, and found Calein and her fox, with a group of other foxes, who where surrounded by wargs. I hid behind a bush, the warg with me. I listened, and found I understood snatches of what they where saying, but one thing came through loud and clear...

"Empress of Writewraiths"

I found myself sighing and wishpering "Again?" Though it was strangly quiet whisper, I was heard, and found.

The leader of the wargs snarled. <There is a stranger here. Find her,> he ordered some of the younger wargs. Then Faith came out from behind a bush.

"Faith! What are you doing here? You shouldn't have come, really." (To the warg, without letting Faith in on the Link for fear of the answer I would get)<Why do you seek the Empress? And who is she, anyway?!> ]

"I heard something about an Empress of Writewraiths. I think it has smething to do with..." I shut my mouth from there. I did not want the wargs to know my real thoughts. "With a dream I had..." I think I can see the futer, fo r remembering the hobbit in gold robes earlier today I relized that it must have been...though the though it abserd, me! It looked just like the way I now look, but with glod robes...plus the tale-tell sign...she carried a gold notebook.

He was trying to be cryptic, which had always annoyed me. But I stayed silent as the warg continued.

<Oh, that? In hopes that one of the Tarrelin Lorai would come. It looks like that plan has worked perfectly, too, friend of foxes!>

I shuddered, and Terwell's eyes went wide with horror. "I should have known...I really should have been able to tell!" Yet if I'd known, I still would have had to come. It was my duty to defend the foxes, and Mara's group DID seem to be in great danger.

<Why do you seek one of the Friends? And how did you know about them?>

<Because, it is said, they know who the Empress is...and how to find her.> The warg growled softly. <And how we knew ... the day has come, little one, when your people can no longer hide.>

*as I approched, I could see a group of wargs, with some foxes, Faith, and Kathy, just staring at each other, and muttered to myself* Mindmessaging...too bad I can't do it.

I saw Star approching and mouthed "Stay back Star" I hoped she wasn't foolish enough to jump into the ring of wargs like I had...but then Star had always been very senceble.

After I realised they were wargs, I just kind of, unintentionally drew attention to myself. "WARGS?????WHAT ARE THEY DOING??????" I began to cry, as rainclouds moved in, begining to rain where we were, I not getting wet at all.

I prepared to battle with the wargs, in case they attacked the foxes at my next statement. Yet somehow I thought that they never intended to. <Sorry, you're out of luck. I don't know who this Empress is!>

The warg's leader "laughed" again; it was a very odd sound. <Oh, you DON'T, do you?>

I heard a growling, and looked back to the bush where I had been hiding. 'Danger' was there, I'd forgotten about him. He worked his way into the crowd of wargs, un-noticed, sinking his teeth into a few, killing them, but still un-noticed. All attention was on Calien and I. I partially understood what they where saying. 'I think Kathie's the Empress! I think...'

Faith: I Reached back and felt the tail. I quickly reached up and felt my ears, then down to my teeth. I was an Anthro! Before anyone else noticed, for they hadn't yet, I stuffed the tale into my pants, and arranged my long nappy hair to cover my ears. My teeth I could do nothing obout, or my eyes, if they had changed. I'd just have to be careful. ~Don't say anything about it. Not a word Star. Speacking of not a word...I havn't spoken a single one. How do you understand me?~
