We would call 'forest onions" Green onions, or scallions...that's what I use the Egyptian ones for, mostly.

I try for carrots every year, with indifferent success. We have very heavy clay soil, which isn't great for carrots. Every year I amend some tiny area and try shorter and tougher varieties...one day I'll get it.

My wild carrots are gorgeous, however.

Those blue potatoes look very much like sweet potatoes by the way. Is it similar?

Wild carrots are very low in carotene. But blue potatoes are just like white, or 'irish' potatoes.
