I forgot to mention; on topic:
-You convince everyone to use 'Oh My Eru/Iluvatar' rather than the traditional exclamations.

Of course following you. I thought that you would recognize it.

Oh my Eru? Thats good. I think I'll use it some time.

I notice you have already. (Eru is easier to say as it is only 2 syllables- that's why I use it, but Iluvatar is good also)

Yeah. 'By all the Valar' is also good.

You know you're obsessed when:
-You get back at your best bud for making a very difficult quiz about herself by making your own quiz about yourself. However, this contains mainly questions about LotR. Hehe. Of course.

I know I've posted here before, but I've got some more...

1)You make plans to have a big party on opening night of the ROTK
2)You get a group of Tolkien loving friends together and dress up in LOTR costumes to go see the movie on opening day
3)You drive your sister mad by giving her loads of facts about anything doing with LOTR
4) You want to take archery lessons
5) You want a hooded Elven-looking cloak to wear everyday
6) You hide your One Ring Replica so that no one can takes the Precious
7) Bring up LOTR in almost every conversation
8) Try to keep your obsessions a secret from your family so that they won't take LOTR away from you (I came so close to having LOTR taken away ...decided to lay low for awhile)
9) Sneak away to Tolkien sites when parents think you're studying (like right now)
10) Think of LOTR 24/7 (that's an obvious one)

Well, that's all I can think of...for now...

Hahahaa! Those are good. I'm driving my little bro crazy by talking about LotR constantly. But it's to great to not talk about. He's getting mad and he says he'll never read it. Now I'm worried.

I love them all, except 8) and 9).
My family doesn't mind my obsession with Tolkien.

My dad helped foster my LotR obsession, though he's not obessed himself. Here's some more.

1) You've posted over 30 times in this thread
2) You try to avoid wearing shoes, and roll up your pants, so you can pretend you're a hobbit.
3) You cite hobbits as examples of why short people are awesome. (I might have said that one before.)

*shakes head* Not nice, not nice at all. *runs off to cry*
I can't really say 'By all the Valar' - it cracks me up because I didn't make it up myself.

The last day I always thought that I had a hobbit foot. Just because my foot is hurt and swollen and therefore I have plasters on it and then a bandage and over it the sock. My foot looks so huge, it just reminds me of Hobbits.
And another thing of my obsession:
In Biologie we talked about Evolution. That we have some things in our ears that remind of the pointy ears of animals.
All I thought was: Our the pointy ears of Elves.

Nasty... Why don't you make up your own then? Yeesh! Then watch some Mooter trash it, when it wasn't addressed to them in the first place, eh?

That would sound even more dumb. Talking german to my friends and then saying : Oh my Eru.
They would think that I'm totally insane.

Ah well. That's your problem. Just come to Australia already!(Damnit, I can't shorthand it to Aus, as I usually would, because of the clash- Austria)

I guess you will just need to make up your own phrase in German..
