Sounds good to me. As long as you don't mind wreaking havoc.

Behold! I have separated the void into the four domains of sex drugs, rock & roll, and ultraviolence (or Internet shopping) and see that it is groovy, baby. At least more fun than some fruits and vegatables, eh?

Giveth unto the temple of sacrifice your pants (leave the wallets in, please)

*beard grows noticably longer*

Well, I'm not growing a beard. I like being beardless.

*sex and drugs and rock and roll...*

But where is the music? Ah right. Left it in my pants again. *sheepish look*

I came late to this thread, so I will put in my 2 cents. . .where DO you people find the time to do all this posting?

I was an agnostic. Then I heard God speak to me and became a Christian. I don't believe I am crazy, thank you very much.
Several years ago I became a Roman Catholic; I like the Catholic church and believe what it teaches.
The best argument for the existence of Christ that I've seen is that the early Christians were willing to be eaten by lions, crucified, etc for their faith . . .they were in a position to know whether it was true or not. I'll take their word for it.

I love LotR because it is saturated with the beauty and hopefulness of Tolkien's faith.

How do you know it was God? It could have been Satan in disguise. Or perhaps Elvis.

Weak argument. Do you have any non-biblical references?

I found this quote by one of my favorite authors that I agree with "I never understood why otherwise intelligent people took religion so seriously" (or something like that)

Some people like the feeling they get when they have constructed a sound argument.

Some people like to knock down other's arguments, thereby feeding their desire for superiority.

Some people like the mental excercise.

Some people have alterior motives.

Some people are insane.

Some humour:
Quote:
From elsewhere:
>BAILEY
>Another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp
>sickle. Still another angel, who had charge of the fire came from the altar
>and called in a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, "Take your sharp
>sickle and gather the clusters of grapes from the earth's vine, because its
>grapes are ripe." The angel swung his sickle on the earth, gathered its
>grapes and threw them into the great winepress of God's wrath. They were
>trampled in the winepress outside the city, and blood flowed out of the
>press, rising as high as the horses' bridles for a distance of 1,600 stadia.
>(Revelation 14:17-20, NIV)
>
>Has anyone ever done a logistics report on this extraordinary claim?
>
>The amount of blood in an average human body multiplied by the average
>height of a horse's bridle multiplied by the space of 180 square miles (or
>300 square kilometers). Are there any mathmeticians in this group who could
>provide an answer as to how many bodies and how many cc's of blood would be
>required to cover a space of 180 square miles with a giant pool of blood
>that would be somewhere near 6' deep? One would of course have to also take
>into account the "saturation factor", i.e., the amount of blood that would
>have been absorbed into the earth.
>
>What are the statistical probabilities that this claim could represent a
>true event?

GEISIK
OK.

180 mi^2 is 5.018E9 ft^2 or 466.2E6 m^2
using 2 meter depth we get 932.4E6 m^3
1 gallon = .003785 m^3
so we have a total of 246.34E9 gallons
The blood volume of a human is about 5 liters or about 1.32 gallons.
So....
We would require approximately 187 Billion people.
