Yeah, Swinton is now up there with Hilary Swank in the "Highly Ambiguous Actresses" category.

Hi All!
At the moment Im planning on installing Windows 7 on my computor since I feel it is time to freshen it up - systemwise.
Anyway, here is my question - Is it possible to back up the system files of a computor after it has been used for a while - in my case a year and a half - in that case - how do I go about it - for the record - I have already backed up some and removed most of my stuff from the comp to a usb-stick. So the thing to do is to make sure that if the installing of the new windows goes completely wrong there will be a copy of the old windows which I will able to reinstall in that case. Thanks beforehand of any assistance I could get in this matter. Best Anders |

Same here. Cleaning the school is devastatingly tiring. However, normally the two cleaners would do it by themselves. Now, there's me, and one girl, this year's graduates, assisting. Helps.

I can't say I know a way of doing that, but then I'm not particularly computer-literate. If this was me doing this, I would made sure I had a the original installation CD's of the original windows. Because as far as I know, once you install another version of windows, there's no undo-button and the only way to get rid of it, is do a new, fresh install from the original software.

I think it's the same with me much of the time. For some years I was usually "chipper" or happy. That was in grade school and into high school. Then from 2000 to 200? it was always sad. Lately people can't read me because I just have a blank and empty gaze. I never had the mean or angry look, but I don't have a sad or happy look anymore. I've been told that when I'm happy, it's all in the eyes and not in a smile. Amy's said that I look completely normal when everything's either uneventful or or disaster types of days. So I look the same when nothing's happening as I do when a lot of bad stuff is happening!

GW, the people in your joke WOULD be going to Branson. It's the favorite "vacation" place of everyone who can't afford plane tickets around where I live. My husband and I actually had our honeymoon in Kimberling City, which is 5 minutes outside of Branson. Don't worry, we're too much locals to have spent all our time and money on those tourist trap shows (which can be pretty neat if you're only here for a week!). We spent our time on the lake!

Funny thing, I have just the opposite experience. We didn't used to get software CD's with the old pre-installed computers, but I got some with the last one. Unless laptops are treated differently in that aspect, I have never bought enough of them to make any scientific observations on that.
The computer shop we bought our computers from also has a repair shop, and I know that they can re-install windows when asked. (And unasked, but that's a different story...)

Well then, now I've cleaned a toilet for the first time. Yuck. Fortune is I've got a week's vacation next week.

Oh, that's sad. That you never cleaned a toilet before I mean. And don't say yuck until you've cleaned toilets at infirmaries.

First time? You weren't born into an aristocratic family by any chance?

I hate the fact that I could have become very spoiled... but I was lucky. I don't consider myself spoiled, just... "caged"? Raised inside cotton? How do you say this in English?

"And we're back on M.O.O.T 102,2 with the Moots playing this Beatles tune slightly changed esp for Ingwe..."
Hey Ingwe, don't make it bad. Take a sad song and make it better. Remember to let her into your heart, Then you can start to make it better. Hey Ingwe don't be afraid. You were made to go out and get her. The minute you let her under your skin, Then you begin to make it better. And anytime you feel the pain, hey jude, refrain, Don't carry the world upon your shoulders. For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool By making his world a little colder. Hey Ingwe, don't let me down. You have found her, now go and get her. Remember to let her into your heart, Then you can start to make it better. So let it out and let it in, hey Ingwe, begin, You're waiting for someone to perform with. And don't you know that it's just you, hey Ingwe, you'll do, The movement you need is on your shoulder. Hey Ingwe, don't make it bad. Take a sad song and make it better. Remember to let her under your skin, Then you'll begin to make it Better better better better better better, oh. Na na na na na ,na na na, hey Ingwe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDdI7GhZSQA |

Oomph... "gentle art of Tai Chi," my @$$!!!!!!! >.< Almost died last night in class several times. All of the older students were chuckling at me till the teacher made them do what I was doing, and then they stopped laughing really quickly .
I am not normally vindictive, but after getting laughed at it was nice to see their smug looks turn into looks of, "OMG, this is really painful!" I know. I am a horrible, horrible person. -_- But in this case I regret nothing because they all brought it on themselves . Because the teacher kept telling us that we weren't actually feeling pain, the joke of the night became, "I am feeling an undisclosed sensation in my legs right now, and I'm about to fall over." |

I've never heard the phrase "raised inside cotton". Is it an idiom in another language?
