The new mormon temple in Espoo, Finland. It's the third in the Nordic countries (Stockholm and Copenhagen are the other places to find them), and this week, it's open to the public. I went there out of pure curiosity, and was guided around the place. We weren't allowed to take photos inside the temple.
By the end of this week, they close the temple for the public, and after that, only members can enter. If I understood correctly, there are about 4,500 mormons in Finland. The temple in Espoo is for mormons in Finland, Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Belarus and Estonia.

More strange pics by me..

I visited the sea fortress of Suomenlinna with my mother a foggy day.. I somehow expected to meet some hobbits around these corners, but I never did..

Lost in the Mist

Hot chocolate.. Perfect for dark and rainy autumn evenings.

It rained quite a lot yesterday. And there was a ferocious thunderstorm which passed over Helsingborg and up over Småland (mid-south of sweden) and created havoc.

It'll be a while before we get to autumn here in sunny SoCal.

'Lost in the mist', is that what I think it is? A beached ship?

Suomenlinna... I've been wondering, is 'linna' Finnish for fortress or settlement or something? I've heard of more places ending on 'linna'.

It's actually a sub..

Linna means fortress, castle.. It is a common ending in names where there has been a castle.. In some places, the castles are still there, like in Hämeenlinna.

A sub?! Now that you mention it, the bow does look sub-like. But how come you have beached subs lying around to provide photographic opportunities?

XD Indeed.. Well, I don't remember the story of it, but it's an old sub that is now a museum piece.

Or maybe it's more like GW says. Us Finns are strange. ^^
