I did something stupid, last Christmas week. I had an 'inspiration' to do something with a tiny firecracker...the kind that comes on a string? I was going to throw one..untied from the string, kwim? And I got distracted and didn't throw it early, so it was still near (not in) my hand when it went off.

Boy, more gunpowder than I remembered. Blew part of my thumbnail off. What an idiot. Kids, do NOT try this at home.

I've mostly been just hangin out with my friends whenever I dont work. But I'm holdin down two jobs, so it can be hard to get free time. Been goin to the movies some too. Goin to the midnight showing of Hancock tonight. Saw WALL*E over the weekend (I know I've been carrying on), and it is a MUST SEE in theatres.

Here's a review I wrote for it:

Words really dont do justice to this movie, and the lack of dialogue bespeaks this. This movie's mode of communication is emotion, and there are volumes of it alive here. WALL*E is one of the most touching movies I have ever seen, and I will watch it again and again. If you've ever experienced a powerful emotion like love, then this movie will not only pull on your heart, but squeeze it as well. The views this movie takes on social and political issues is also astounding. Go see this movie, it will truly make this a summer to remember.

I work at Lowe's as a full time worker during the summer, and I also clean pools and take care of fish tanks for people, and I may look for a third job as well.


And OOO YEAAAH, I'm shooting off fireworks! Are you going to be able to?

Do what I do...shoot them off anyways...hes not the law he can't control you sis....plus if your out of city limits and your not disturbing the peace cops can't stop you legally anyways...plus im using sparklers too...just modifying them....well i need some more so im heading out

Oh damn, my brother scared me. He's been dragging the 'net cable in his room, and all I saw here where I am sitting (where it is connected) was stuff moving in front of me, without any apparet reason.

i've done that and let it blow up in my hand (not on purpose my girl cousin distracted me) and it didn't feel to bad...smarted a bit

I think it's legal to shoot them, but not to buy them here. My county is pretty iffy about fireworks (probably comes of being a desert, with lots of dry grass and stuff ), but there's one town where you can legally buy them, apparently. And actually, they have displays, so of course you can legally shoot them off. At least if you're a city.

I was offering you more work, ungrateful infidel. I would (theoretically)have paid for supplies. You said you wanted another job. Just pointing out that "contractor discount" is how people make money in construction.
