A patient came to my GP practice today.
He said 'Doctor, I think I'm goin deaf'
'What are the symptoms?' I asked.
He replied:
'A yellow family from TV'

And for my answer - yes, the answer is "nothing". I think that's a pretty cool riddle! The last part, esp - if you eat "nothing", you'll die! And rich men need nothing, and poor men have nothing, etc.

Ruinel - wow, great joke! Octal 31 IS decimal 25! That's really wild that it worked out like that!

I still have my really cool HP calculator that has dec, hex, oct and bin keys and functions. I used it a lot for awhile.

I'm very upset that I understood the fact that we can now prove Christmas is equal to Halloween...

How about proof that women are evil?

This is impossible to write in code. Nothing is underlined, and there are no capital Vs. It's the "square route" sign. And ^2 indicates superscript 2 or squared.

Theorem: "Women require time and money."
women = time * money
Theorem: "time is money."
time = money
women = money * money = (money)^2
Theorem: "money is the route of all evil."
money = Vevil__
women = (Vevil)^2
women = evil

Just found this one (v. funny! ):
"How many forum members does it takes to change a light bulb?

1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed
14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently
7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs
1 to move it to the Lighting section
2 to argue then move it to the Electricals section
7 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs
5 to flame the spell checkers
3 to correct spelling/grammar flames
6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" ... another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid
2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp"
15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light bulb" is perfectly correct
19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a lightbulb forum
11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum
36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty
7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs
4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's
3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to this group which makes light bulbs relevant to this group
13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too"
5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy
4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"
13 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs"
1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again."

I like that! I suppose that's because I'm a maths geek. But I *do* think men could be substituted for women easily enough.

Bah. I think that would be funnier if it actually worked.
It just doesn't happen to appeal to my sense of humour.

Love the Women = evil one... I knew it but forgot how it worked!

How many surrealists does it take to change a light bulb?

2: 1 to hold the Giraffe while the other pours the bubble bath...

Yes I also question the premise that

women = time * money.

Surely time cannot stand alone without some coefficient relating to proximity to clothes and/or shoe shops.

Lol Janny!

Hey, have I ever told this lawyer joke before?

A priest is hitch-hiking because his car broke down, and he's picked up by a truck driver. They're driving along when the truck driver sees a lawyer thumbing a ride. He moves the truck onto the shoulder to run the lawyer over, but thinks, "I can't do this, there's a priest in the car!" At the last moment, he swerves away, avoiding the lawyer. The truck driver feels terribly ashamed. "I'm sorry Father, that was just wrong. I shouldn't have done that."
"That's alright," replies the priest, "I got him with my door."

And how about this lawyer joke:

Q: What's the difference between a lawyer who was hit by a car, and anyone else who was hit by a car?

A: Skid marks in front of anyone else.

That light bulb joke is hilarious, Fal! My favourite one was was I Rex quoted- about the controversy. Frighteningly true.

Anyone know why the koala fell out of the tree?
