I was referring to Elf Girl's comments about Arda.

Quote:
Arda, which is hidden because the Valar showed mercy and let us be there unblemished for another few thousand years. I'm also one of the few sent outside of Arda

I'm either moving to Manchester or London once I'm 18...
I like accents. My voice is too bland for my taste. My lifelong dream is to aquire an accent.

Oh, before some modly being comes along, I think I'll point out that the topic is that way *points*, and I'm going to hitch hike a ride back on topic.

you can take a class in accents? too cool. Back to topic, What about Precious? Hee hee haa!! But seriously that is a real name. and my freind whose name was precious didn't get teased for it. Btw, for thoes of you named Anna, isn't it cool how you can write your name with one symbol in the tengwar? and how your name means gift?

In what language? 'Ann' makes up part of my real name (Leanne)
I'm a gift! I knew it.

I would love to call my child Arwyn (I know that was from ages ago, but that just stuck in my head). Yes, a short Tolkien name, with a few alterations, and I've got the perfect name! Each kid will have about 5 middle names, though.

Arda might be a cool name for a little girl. Not so extremely unusual, and it means "the world". Don't children mean the world to their parents?

Cute, SP.

RE: Precious -- that's a very rural-south kind of thing to name a kid. I believe there was a Precious or two where I used to live in NC.
