I've seen in the supermarket we stock Carebear toys, so I'd guess they're back.
I used to watch Carebears a lot, as well as Power Rangers, the Smurfs and Gumby. Our class suddenly got really into Gumby last year, and we stuck pictures of him around the class.

I used to watch a lot of these shows on an Aussie show called Aggro's Cartoon Connection- about an 'Aggro' puppet!

I still remember part of the theme-song. Though I didn't hear the remix and I don't think I'd want to. Better to remember as it's meant to be.

Here's something that I thought was gone (and I didn't miss it) but then I realized it was still out:

Corsets....

That's right. I work in retail and we sell them!

Anyway, HOBBIT, I don't know how old you are, but they stopped make B&W movies in the 60s, so I guess that was pretty old... You know what I do miss...

Knickers and Bloomers.

Whipper-snapper!

I was just talking about this with a friend 2 days ago. We both are glad that Hello Kitty is popular again. We both had fond memories as we tripped down memory lane.

Rock Em Sock Em Robots

when i was about three or four i got these for xmas and loved em... nothing like good, clean, violent toys

i used to love watching Felix the Cat on tv too... don't know if it's ever been re-released

i also liked Dangermouse... though this was more early-80s, i believe

Unfortunately, since cable TV, all of the old programmes are constantly being shown so, sadly, the old joke has come true: nostalgia just ain't what it used to be.

I was particularly upset to discover recently that Captain Pugwash did not feature characters called Roger the Cabin Boy and Seaman Staines. Bagpuss always was a pile of pish, especially the Mouse Organ, and apart from Bagpuss himself.

Hector's House is the only remaining TV prog from my youth which has remained happily immune to retro revivalism, presumably because it is even worse than it seemed at the time.

if we're talking TV shows....does anyone remember Small Wonder? It's about a family who's dad makes a little robot girl Vicky? I loved watching that show when I was little!
