I have contacts, never wear them. They hurt my eyes and take too much time to put in.

Ditto. I have contacts, but I have not worn them in like a month or more.....they were pain similiar to that of glasses

The reason I stopped wearing contacts was because my eye lids got all messed up..infection or something. That only lasted a week, but after that I really haven't worn them. If I wear them too long they get annoying. So, I think I'll stick to my glasses

Besides, when I have my glasses on I look more like bmilder.

I wore glasses from Kindergarten through 5th grade, and that summer, I finally got contacts!!! I absolutely love them cuz I look reeelly, reeeelly dorky with glasses. If you want to get contacts, DO NOT let them give you hard contacts! they are so tough to get in and out, and it feels like rocks in your eyes! I tried getting them in 4th grade, and it was a disaster. They were all the doctor would give me though, so the summer of 5th grade I went to a different doctor, and he gave me soft ones.

I got contacts late last spring, and I really like them. At first I hated them, because they took about 20 minutes to get in. In the summer I practiced with them, because, of course, I wasn't going to school and had more time to get my contacts in, and after a couple of weeks I could get them in in about 4 minutes. Now I get them in in 1-2 minutes.

I didn't notice at first the difference they made in my vision, but now when I put on my glasses, my peripheral vision is more limited.

Laurelyn, you said your eyes dry out easily? My mom's eyes are like that, and she has trouble with contacts. She's had them before, but her eyes always felt scratchy when she wore them, and sometimes her eyes would be so dry that the contact would pop out. She had laser eye surgery recently, so she doesn't have glasses anymore, but she wore glasses for years.
