I don't know about Quenya but in Indo it's 'Terimah kasih' or 'Makasi'. And I would say 'Kembali' or 'Sama-sama'. (You're welcome)

Hehe - it's nice to come back to this thread again.

I'm off to the hospital to see the surgeon. Hope he doesn't have any bad news. *biting nails*

Well, I've decided to post updates on my condition here, instead of repeating myself through numerous PMs. Hope it's OK. It's about breast cancer and it's in detail. Do not read further if you don't think you can handle it.

The surgeon appointment went fairly well (except that I had to wait for more than 2 hours at the hospital because the surgeon was ill and it took some time before they could get a replacement ). There were good news and bad news, most good news.
Bad news: The examination of the tumor from my breast revealed that the cancer was of type 3, which is the most 'angry' type, the type that spreads most easily. That's sh*t.
Good news 1: The tumor was well contained, which means they're certain they've taken out every bit of the cancer from my breast and I do not need more surgery. Very well. It would have been such a backlash to have another surgery and then another recovery period.
Good news 2: They had examined all the lymph nodes that was removed (It was 14 of them) but had not found any sign of cancer in them except for the enlarged one that we already knew about. Yess! It means that the chances are reduced that the cancer has spread to other parts of my body, so that my prognosis is now far better than it was when they first found the tumor. This was the information I was biting nails for.
Good news 3: The cancer can be treated with hormons, which also reduces the chance for the cancer to reappear.

The chemotherapy will start in 2-3 weeks. My hair will fall off (that's why I just got a new haircut), and I'll get tired and probably sick. Blah. Expect to see a lot of me in the venting thread when the time comes.

That's indeed good and bad news. I don't know if I should be sad or happy for you. I'll settle for hopeful that you'll pull through. *sends hugs over to Artanis in Norway*

I think those sound as good news. The worst I suppose is the chemotherapy, but you already knew you'll need some treatment. If you think of it, all the rest are good news

Besides, you're a strong woman and that's important for the treatment.

Of course, we're here to hear all your vents, if that helps Big, big hugs

That's great news that the lymph nodes were clear! It looks like they caught it early enough so that it was contained, and that's very good!

Vent away about the treatment, and let us help you to bear it with our sympathy and love

*adds more hugs to the pile of hugs around Artanis*

Hehe - I love big hugs. Thanks folks!

The chemo is given in 6 treatments with 3 weeks between each. Afterwards there will be 6 weeks with daily radiation treatment, and 5 yrs with hormonal treatment. I'm young and healthy, so they're giving me the full package of treatment.

I asked if they could adjust the chemo treatment so that my body hair (legs, armpits etc.) would fall off too. They couldn't.

6 chemo treatments, 6 weeks of daily radiation treatment, 5 years of hormonal treatment... When it is over you will think "Oh, am I already done?"
I know that Norway often hires Swedish doctors, so I am sure that you will have a speedy recovery

Hehe. I dunno about Swedish doctors, but I've met a lot of Swedish nurses, construction workers and waiters.

Wow Artanis! That's tough news! I hope it ( the medical treatment) is bearable, and that this treatment passes as quickly as possible. I wish I could help you out, but I can't. Please do all you can to help yourself! I will be thinking of you!
