Oh, dear, I'm sorry to hear about that, EG. Although I must admit, it does shed some suspicion on the authenticity of your Elfliness... Get well soon, friend. Anar caluva tielyanna.

Get well soon Elf Girl! I'm glad it seems to be not too serious; the hospital is never fun!

Alright, I'm back, albeit with an IV still in my arm.
As for the disease issue, first off I know that Elves do not sicken, however, as I have explained to Gwaimir several times, my fea is currently inhabiting a human body, which, aside from being very uncomfortable and making me very much 'not myself', allows me to become diseased. The issue of Elves and Lyme disease (I tested positive) is interesting. Could it not be looked on as the 'poison' of the deer ticks? I'll have to discuss that in the lethal-to-Elves thread. Watch the Venting thread for an extended rant on hospitals and meningitis. Thank you all for your well-wishings, (especially those in Quenya!) they mean a lot to me. My mom printed them out and brought them in to me.

Glad to see you're back. Now, about this fea inhabiting a human body: how the heck did that happen? Are you one of those Elves that faded and just possesed whatever you could? I would have occupied a weed before entering a human body.

Basically the Valar decided that Men were going off the rails, and had to send an Elf to go fix them, only none of the ones in Valinor knew anything about Men. Similar to the Istari, I had to have a form that would be acceptable, only not being a Maia I have to be forced into this one. I don't know where the heck my real body is, but I imagine it's being preserved in Valinor, waiting for me.

Glad you're doing better, Elf Girl. I hope your present body will heal very quickly so you can get back to being your healthy elven self.

Glad you're back home, Elf Girl - hurry up and finish that report on humans so you can get your elven body back
ps - please be sure to talk to your dr. about starting an aggressive treatment for Lyme's immediately! That disease can linger for awhile if not treated aggressively and quickly, from what I've heard.

What the heck is Lyme disease? 'Tis confusing, because people generally tend to die of meningitis over here if it's not caught in time. I'm guessing you got a different version? Anyway, good to have you back!

Lyme disease is very bad in NJ. We have posters all over the state parks warning of Lyme Disease. The thing is - the deer tick is so tiny - I don't see how anyone can see it if it lands on you. Luckily I have never had Lyme disease - but it is very serious.
Glad you're better Elg Girl. It must not have been much fun at all.
