I haven't met any significantly famous people, but a relo of my friend was involved in the LotR filming.
She was part of the make-up crew, and guess what she did? The best job ever.... doing the hobbits' feet.

Wow, that must have been something!
I remembered that I was introduced to Ralph Nader at a dinner at UNC-Pembroke. Also, I used to go to church w/ congressman Mike McIntyre (D-NC), and although he's not really famous, Pres. Bush did mention his name in his speech at Camp Lejeune the other day.

Which musicians? I'm pretty sure I'll have heard of them...

Not quite "met", but I had an email interview with Harold Myra.

Just a bunch of Gauteng & SA rugby guys (but that doesn't really count since they're my friends and I see them often anyway).

My uncle ( he was part of the team that did the first ever heart transplant) - nah that's not really famous either since only doc Chris made the headlines.

Erm, ok I'm not a stalker type it seems

I forgot to mention, my good friend stayed in a boarding school from age 3 to 10 in India. She used to be smacked for using her left hand, and Mother Theresa wiped her injuries. I thought this was amazing, but my friend thinks that she was weird and apparently the other nuns thought similarly.
