well, when i was about seven, my aunt said that i looked like winona ryder.
glad i grew up different though. and someone said that i looked like janean garafalo (sp?) with blond hair, but i think that it must have been the glasses, cause my face is longer and my eyes aren't dark blackey brown.

I used to, about 4 years ago have really short hair, I looked IDENTITICAL to my brother!
I was walking round town once and these lads came up to me "Hey up Tom! Wanna fag* because my brother smokes, I was like, "um, I'm not Tom, I'm his little sister!" |

There's a guy who has the same name as me.
He's about two or three years younger, lived in the same community, and went to the same elementary school, and maybe the same high school as well. I played piano at the Kiwanis Music Festival, and I won enough to get my name in the paper from time to time. He did the same with violin (or cello, I can't remember). He also took speech arts and won in some competitions. I've never taken speech arts in my life, but won a lot on the high school speech and debate circuit. So often people come up to me and congratulate me on my violin skills - and I've been told by mutual acquaintances that people congratulate him on piano skills. Weird.

Andúril - That lucky dog! (I like the name, too - what kind of dog is it?)
We only let Buddy (he's a big black mutt, 90 pounds) halfway up on the bed in the morning - when I wake up, I call him over, and the game is he can get on the bed but he has to keep his back paws on the floor - but he can stretch well over half the bed, even with his feet on the floor, and slobber on us and wake us up with his doggy breath During the night, he's on the floor at one of his 3 'stations' - by the front door, in the hall by the kids' rooms, or in our bedroom under my desk. Lots of people thought I looked like Patty Hearst (but that's back in the 70's, lots of you guys probably won't remember her). In fact, my nickname on our dorm softball team (chosen for me, not by me!) was "Tanya", which was the alias she had. Many people think my husband resembles Al Gore (in his thinner incarnations), but my husband is much cuter, and definitely much funnier and nicer than good ol' Algore!

She's definitely cuter than our big 'ol mutt, but I wouldn't change him for anyone (anydog??) - he's so sweet-natured and great with kids - a nice feature when all the cousins come rolling in....
But I imagine she's a bit spoiled ... look at those eyes - how can you say 'no' to that dog? BTW, Gwaimir, speaking of being mistaken for someone - you're a twin? Identical or fraternal? and (the really important question )- does your twin like Tolkien? Also, you never got up a picture on the Picture of Me thread - did you ever get hold of a digital camera or scanner? I'd like to see you (Buddy just came by for his morning treat - I always let him (ok, this is perhaps yucky, but he's so nice ) lick my cereal bowl in the morning when I'm done!)

Ha! I saw a picture of Gwaimir that was really weird (ahhhh, tell me that wasn't you GW, please!) It was on one of those pix threads. I recall some "speedo" type clothing and a mask! Oh, It was rich!

well... people think i am my twin sister a lot even though we look nothing alike!
people say i look like 'that girl from parent trap' the one with blonde hair- not the new one where the girl has red hair.

Once when I was 13, I had my hair bleached bright blonde and I was wearing all white: white jeans, white baggy shirt, and a white hooded jacket. I had most of my short hair tucked under a white baseball cap, but some of it fell out in the front. Any ways, I got off at school (my dad drove me) and as I was walking towards the entrance when these two girls suddenly ran up to me sort of happily squealing. Turns out they thought I was Aaron Carter.
And I've hated that boy since. |

Yeah, especially since he's a boy and I'm a girl. I don't know whether that means I have semi-boyish qualities or he has semi-girlish qualities, but I'm betting it's the latter because I was wearing make-up that day. Then again, when they first saw me it was from far away, so it was a simple -- though highly stupid -- mistake.
