Beauty and the Beast is my all-time favorite. I used to want to *be* Belle.

I've always liked Fantasia too. I'm probably the only little kid who ever enjoyed it. It put all my friends to sleep.

Shrek, Mulan, The Lion King, and The Little Mermaid are all terrific too. Ok, so I like the original Hans Christian Andersen version of The Little Mermaid better... but it's still a great movie.

One movie with a silly premise but wonderful story and characters is Anastasia. It may be historically ridiculous, but even the obvious fantastic elements - devilish unkillable sorceror Rasputin! - are pretty funny. I loved it.

Pixar is the greatest film studio on the face of the planet. Try naming one other studio with a 1.000 batting average, as far as making superb films go.

In terms of the Mouse House's in-house productions, I'd have to agree with galadriel: Beauty and the Beast is an inspiration of a film.

I grew up with the original Disney movies, I remember seeing "Jungle Book" when it first came out, and really enjoying it (unusual for me to enjoy a movie! ) It seemed like "The Little Mermaid" was the movie that ushered in the "second age" of Disney. I remember that Land Before Time thing as being one of the first second agers that wasn't Disney. I thought "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" (or whatever it was called) was a step down for Disney, too much singing! (and way too loud if you saw it in the theatre) Somewhere along the way, Disney just started making too many movies! Less was more special. My young son seems to enjoy Disney's "Robin Hood". We have all the Disney videos it seems, up to that Hercules. At that point, a Disney cartoon just wasn't the same!

I've never seen The Hunchback of Notre Dame... how on earth did they turn it into a movie with a happy ending? In the book, they both die, and their skeletons are found holding one another. I don't quite recall how that happened, but the final image the book leaves you with is really disturbing.

There was another thread, which I think is the same thing, here. Of course, I could be wrong.

I found The Hunchback of Notre Dame a bit freaky and strange!

I love Peter Pan! I have just bought loads of Tinkerbell stationary for school. They are brilliant! I was over the Moon when i found them!

Not counting anime, my favorite cartoon movies are "The Sword in the Stone" and "Robin Hood".

I remember watching the Lion King when I was little with my brothers and we'd always fight over who would 'be' Rafiki because he's so cool. When he hit the heyena from over his shoulder...

I don't really know my very favorite though... maybe Little Nemo, about a kid with a pet squirrel named Icurus, and he had a nightmare.
