Noise is made when something vibrates and makes... vibrations. (a big tree falling would create vibrations) Thus it would make a sound.

In this case soundwaves and vibrations are the same thing. you just call vibrations soundwaves after thay pass through your outer ear and enter you inner ear.
(i got an A on that science test about sound last year!)

HOWEVER...you could argue that vibrations are just vibrations...noise is actually the interpretation of said vibrations by the brain. So it could be said any vibrations NOT heard are not actually noise as such.

sound waves are vibrations! You jus call them different things wen they are in different parts of the ear! Either way the tree falling would still make a sound!

Well sound waves are a type of vibration. They are literally invisible waves with a particular oscilation that happens to effect our ears in a way that we can hear. In fact if youve ever been in a car with a major sounds system you can even feel the car vibrate because of the base. know what i mean?

Hey, tree-speakers of the world unite! (hi 'lenka!) I talk to trees. As a littler kid I spoke to them with words, but I've changed so much since I was a little kid, into not saying much overall unless I'm hyper, in which case I'll never shut up. And conversations with people are different from conversations with trees.
Likewise I used to name them, too, or ask them their names, but again I can just keep my mouth shut now. That I sort of miss, actually.

Nobody but the chipmunk that got out of the way of the tree just in time would notice.

You should try hugging and stroking trees, it's very theraputic. I used to stroke my Xmas tree and apologise for covering it with decorations. It made me feel better - i guess i was a weird kid!
