But there are still moviegoers who have never read a book before or are just dumb and should only go to movies with no difficult parts. So: no offence to anybody, I talk about really dumb people and not every moviegoer.

okay getting back on topic here....... yeah i did catch those lines in ROTK..... actually just this morning when i was reading in spanish class (and thank god we had a study hall cause i was getting to the good parts of the book!)

To me, this quote sums up the essence of Éowyn:

Eowyn is one of my favorite charecters. I am sooo happy they did such a good job on her. I really love her 'I fear neith pain nor death' line in the movie and the rest of that scene even if it is not in the movie. I am not sure what my favorite line in the book of hers is... I really like the way she is described though... something about a white lily being cold with dew... very brilliant...

I WILL SCREAM IF ARWEN KILLS THE WITCHKING! I WILL STORM OUT OF THE THEATER SCREAMING MY HEAD OFF!! (I don't care how much I embaress you evenstart1400)

Im holding on to the hope that somewhere either on this thread or another, someone mentioned that Miranda Otto said that she (her character

) kills the witchking. My last little shred of hope for PJ is that he gets that part good. Yeah,I agree, I think I would honestly get up and leave the theater too if Arwen peeks her head in there.

LOL, I was thinking of Arwen

But if you started "screaming like a banshee" I would take that as a sign of Arwen appearing, and I would hunt Jackson down.

God, thank you. I would also scream in the cinema and that would be a thing which I would not frogive PJ. He wouldn't be one of my idols any more if he did that.
Eowyn killing the witch-king. Hopefully one of the highlights of RotK.

I too was very surprised at the quality. I never gave Eowyn much thought in the books. I didn't really care for her. Actually, I was always mildly disappointed that a character that Tolkien built up so much, such a terrifying figure, was destroyed so easily.

The movie version has really brought her to life for me. She did a fantastic job of showing the emotions of the role. I hope they do a good job of her showdown with the Lord of the Nazgul. I'm certain that she did her part, I just hope the script was written well...

Eowyn and Merry's confrontation with the Lord of the Nazgul is one of my most anticipated scenes from the entire 3 movie trilogy. And for the record, even I will enthusiastically bash Peter Jackson if Arwen replaces Eowyn there.

I would bet a lot of money against Arwen killing the Witchking. PJ does change certain things from the book, but surely he wouldn't change this. Eowyn has to kill the Witchking, IMO. What else will she do? I doubt the only think she would do in the movies is marry Faramir. That's not part of her character. She is a fiesty young women. They let Arwen confront the Nazgul, surely they can give Eowyn some action.
And, of course Miranda Otto is fantastic, after all, she's an Aussie.

I hope the have the scene where Faramir kisses Eowyn when they are stnading on the castle wall thingy... that was one of my favorite scenes!

(Faramie should have had black hair!)

I loved that part. It was that romantic. When I read it I just thought, who says Tolkien isn't romantic.
I love this part. I has to be included in the movie.
